Recession has definitely affected our work. Though we are employed as of now, situation has become quite unpredictable. I have friends in other companies who been told by their bosses to start looking for other jobs. They will be losing their jobs by the end of this month. Luckily for my friends they are not the only earning members at home(have other earning members at home), so its ok for now. But my friend mentioned about other people in their company, who have taken huge loans for their house, they will be the ones who will be suffering the most if they don't find an alternate job very soon. Its quite terrible and frustrating to lose jobs. But all those people who lost their jobs or on the verge of losing their jobs, please don't get frustrated. Keep trying. Hopefully this crisis will get over soon.

Well, Im the one of it. It is really sad to be unemployed person. The company that I used to work has to be close down. I'm a fresh graduate, and only have 6 months experience working there. I know that 6 months experience is still doesn't enough, but what can I do than? I have no choice. So, here I am now, sit in front my laptop and trying to make money online XD

My hubby lost his job two months ago today due to lack of work. It's been very hard on the family with the income reduced so drastically. Unfortunately it's even harder on him. He has always been an active person and it's driving him crazy not being able to work. I was finally able to find a job recently to help bring in a little extra income besides his unemployment but it's still hard to make ends meet since I haven't been able to get in many hours recently. Luckily, as of tomorrow, I start training for another department in the same company and they assure me I'll be getting 40 hours a week with the possibility of overtime. At this point we need all the overtime they can give me.

I am self employed so I don't have to worry about this. I do have 2 family members that were laid off. It's very hard because you still have bills to pay but no money. All of us have tried to help by giving them food or anything else can but times are tough for all of us nowadays!

I know exactly what you mean. I lost my job 3 months ago, and because of the recession i'm still unemployed. Although i have no dependents, I pity my friends who have kids going to school. I can only imagine what they are going through right now. We help each other out but sharing projects or resources when we can. Having a group and good connections is helpful in times like these.
