cooking for you - a hobby or intrest?

I don't know how to cook. My mom used to say that I would burn something even if I am just boiling water! lol That's how bad I am when it comes to cooking. however, I enjoy watching cooking shows. It ignites my interest to take up culinary arts as a hobby. However, right after watching it, I don't even lift a finger to start it. So I guess I'm really stuck on being a lousy cook. lol
