Hi friends!
I have joined Helium few weeks before and have written 4 articles so far. After spending few days the matter of rating star and writing star is not yet clear to me..Do I have a rating star when members rate my articles or when I rate other members articles? Similarly writing stars are for writing articles that rank well right? I will glad if you all can help me out and share your experience in Helium over here...waiting for few inspirations! Have a nice day!

To earn rating stars, you must complete a certain number of rates within 90 days. For one star you need to complete between 40 and 99 rates within 90 days.
You can gain a writing star when you have written 4 to 29 Helium articles rated in the top quarter, in a title with three or more articles written to it. You only need four quality articles. If your articles are not rated high enough, you can leapfrog them and post an improved version of your article.
You can find instructions and advice in the Helium User Guide, or visit the community forum.
I did not get to have a writing star until I had written more than 50 articles, but now I have three stars. It seems to get easier to keep them now, as I add more articles, and I improve some of the older ones if they are rated badly.

I too am a member of Helium and you gain your rating stars by rating other people articles. Now I'm not to sure about the writing stars. I think they come from how other people rate your articles and if they are in a high percentile. Maybe someone else will be able to clear that part up.
I had just started back with Helium a month or so ago. I like their new incentive program.
