My fiance and I are going to spending the holidays at home with his parents, with both sides of his family. On my side, we will probably just visit my mom as we don't have the money to buy presents for anyone else, that and we're not sure how crowded my aunts house will be. I'll make a few phone calls as well, but other then that it will be here. As for travelling, 20 minutes out of county to my mom's, and then 10 minutes in county to his granny's... that's all the travelling we'll be doing. Happy Holidays To You and Yours!

Due to the times and unfortunately being unemployed outside of doing my internet marketing work and my writing, we are doing what we do each and every year. We are going to have Christmas Eve at my mother-in-law's and then Christmas Day at the Brother-in-Law's. This is fine as we have a good time together. The holidays are moving pretty fast. They are setting me up to see an exciting new year and to see what is really going to happen in the way of the economy, job market and international relations. Hope you are going to be having a good holiday.

Hey, don't lose heart. It is not that we need to go outing to have fun. You can arrange some events at your house so that you and your family have a great time together. You all can go out to nearest multiplex and watch a movie together, I think this is a decent idea. Try spending some quality time with your family, you will surely enjoy it. Thanks for your response friend.

That sounds very nice to spend time with your family. That is what I hope to be doing to tell you the truth. I spoke to my husband earlier on this season as to what we might be doing this Christmas time and he said maybe we would just chill that day and not really go anywhere. I thought it sounded like a great idea. I am the type of person that just likes some peace and quiet and I want to enjoy it in close quarters with my husband and son. The one thing about this time of year is that while it is supposed to be a beautiful and peaceful time it can create much stress on people. People are under pressure to find the perfect gifts and the like. Christmas should also be looked at for what it is which is the birth of Christ. A lot of times the meaning of the holidays get forgotten during all the hustle and bustle. It is a shame to say the least. I am not really on any kind of shopping frenzy this year. I just want the peace and quiet!lol. Take care and I do hope that you find your holiday enjoyable. It will be over before you know it and on to a brand new year.

Thank you for giving me best response. I realize that it has been a few months since Christmas. The time sure does pass quickly. Christmas can be a wonderful time for giving and it is just a pretty time of year no matter where you are. I am still living in Alabama where we don't get much snow and cold weather but I still enjoy the season never the less. New Year's came and went and now spring has sprung. On to more new things and new challenges. It depends on how you look at it I guess. Having a good attitude is important. But as far as the shopping and hustle and bustle during the holidays I still feel the same way. Christmas is a time for Christ and hopefully people will continue to remember that.

You deserved the best response, I am thankful to you because you had time to respond to my discussion. I was away from myLot for last three months and I am active again here. You are right, Christmas has passed and now the time is for summer holidays in my country, a vacation for around 2 months. I would again be going to my village to visit my grandparents and I am very excited about this. I would try buying some gifts for them. Do you also have summer holidays in your country?? How do you plan to spend them??

hello lucky... summer vacations have always been a fascination time since my childhood. I used to enjoy the summer with ice cream & lot of TV programs. But this year won't bring me a relaxed vacation. I have got my final exam on the other side of the vacation. I have a lot yto prepare,so this is going to be very hectic i can guess....

I also used to find those summer vacations very exciting in my childhood days(except those large family-size vacation tasks ordered by school). I also have my exams in June end or July start I think. It seems we both have got the same story after the end of the vacations. Anyways, best of luck for your exams and thanks for your response.

Its fine, you can try having some adventure and surprise all your friends by going out to some place without planning. It will be surprising to all and will surely take your friends as a shock. Try this out and see how your friends react to this, I don't think they will not like it!! Have a go. Anyways thanks for your response buddy. I would like to know whether you liked my idea or not...

Different people have different celebrating ways on holidays. For me, at the begining I will shop some presents for my parents and friends. Then I will stady at home instead of travelling. I like quiet life. So the besy way to relax is to buy some books and do some reading. I like holidays and always look forward to long holiday. I always feel the holidays are too short when I have to go back to work. LOL.......

I love shopping too. It is a nice habit to read some books during these holidays. Reading books for me is very difficult as I become impatient to sit and read for long hours. I appreciate such reading habits and always wish had I been a little more patient. Anyways, thanks for your response. Enjoy your holidays.
