Blanket made with Love

I have been busy crocheting blankets for my daughter's friends at work.. I've made at least a dozen since October.... The photo here is one I just finished for a 9 year old, who is the daughter of one of my daugthers friends... I used a different color to make a blanket for a newborn baby born last month...The baby is not doing very well..(her little heart is not working properly) and her mommy wrapped her in the blanket I crocheted for her...this makes me feel so good to know she loves the blanket...and that I can share the hug for the little one... I love to crochet blankets and give them away..I love making others happy..

so you didn't say... I made afgans for the family a few years ago, my bro, my neice, my sis... I also made a few others, if I could get to my yard I'd make more....

You are a busy lady! I have only made the one afghan that I gave to my sister. She loved it! I have been knitting hats for the grandchildren. I hope to make matching mittens for them too!

Oh how sweet...That is one thing I have to learn to do...hats and mittens...I must get a book and start learning...any good books you could suggest to learn quickly... The afghan you made was so very beautiful and a lot of work...

The blanket is really nice, it's so nice of you to make the blankets for others. My grandmother used to make blankets for us too, I've been using them since I was young. But ever since she passed away, nobody is going to make that kind of blankets anymore. I am still using the blanket she made for me.

I think what you are doing is wonderful. It is a gift made with love that people will always remember. I hope the baby gets better. It breaks my heart to hear of babies and children who are sick. Keep making those blankets --we need more peace and love in the world.

Thank you so much.. It just breaks my heart to know that anyone is sick, but especially babies and children.. It makes me feel really good to make the blankets and give them away.. Yes we do need more peace and love and I'm glad I can be a part of that... HUGs

he is doing as good as to be expected the nurse told him yesterday that the pain he is in now is normal for the time it has been since the operation he goes back to Doc. weds so I will know more after that. hugs and thanks for asking

The blanket is lovely Feona. I really admire people who possess such talents. The only thing I've crocheted, is a vest when I was a teenager. It's wonderful that the little baby with the heart problem, received one of them. I do hope they can do something to correct this. Take care.

Wow. That's a very amazing hobby. Those blankets are really made out of love and the sincere purpose of making others happy. It's so nice to hear stories like this. By doing this, you are also sharing your love and affection to those people and once they use the blankets, they are surely covered with definite cloud nine.

What a beautiful blanket. That is a very special gift that if filled with love. You are very sweet to crochet blankets and give them away. My mom has crochet everyone in our family blankets for Christmas. I have a few of them and they are very special. I have a white and blue one on my bed that she made, and I can feel her love every night when I go to bed. She also mades baby blankets for newborns and brings them to hospitals.
