There's a spider in the keyboard!

Today I went down into the basement because we have the computer down here. Well, hanging from the ceiling was a spider, a very tiny black one dangling just in front of the computer monitor. I looked at it thoughtfully and blow it away so it lands on a piece of paper and not on the keyboard. Then I went on with what I was doing. I discovered a few moment later that he was on and then in between the keys. He seemed to have crawled under the L key, so I was careful to make sure the message I was typing out did not contain any letter L's. But soon I couldn't see the spider anymore and I had no idea where he had gone. I gave him a few minutes, but I had to give up on him and go on with my life. Has anything like this ever happened to you? Do you ever really care about the lives of the insignificant little bugs around us? They're just going to die in a few days anyway, aren't they? I'm sure any little squish they suffer is more than likely quick and painless.

Hi Sheepie, I often see a spider walking across my loving carpet so I just a piece of paper and pick it up and throw it out the door, I will never kill any little bugs or creatures around me or I will be so sad. Tamara

I'm going to have to say I had to giggle when I read this. Usually I'm the one that takes care of the spiders in the house and I must say , that has never happened to me before. Amazingly some spiders can live for years and he probably knew that was not the best place to hide. lol

Hahaha! I'd love to die that way! Quick and painless! Even if it was a giant foot or hand that did it. I care about bugs... the good kinds, anyway. Right now, we have a few ladybugs in the house. They came in when it started to get really cold outside. They eat smaller bugs like tiny spiders and the like so I let them stay without disturbing them if possible. Sometimes, I have to move them because they tend to crawl everywhere but, for the most part, they don't bother me and I don't bother them. Spiders, though, are a different story! I know they're here for a reason and they do eat other bugs... bad bugs, but, to me, spiders ARE bad bugs! I don't have a phobia about them but I do have a very real fear of them. I'm allergic. I was bitten once and developed blood poisoning within hours of the bite. When I received a tetanus shot at the hospital, I had a bad reaction to that, too. So, I do my best to stay away from spiders or kill them if I can't avoid them. My husband has a problem with spiders worse than I do because his office is in the basement; mine is on the main floor of our house. He hates spiders, too, so every now and then, he goes nuts with bug spray to kill as many as he can. Spiders, ticks and ants... those are the ones we have the most problems with here in the country. They're all equally creepy to me and, if I never saw another one I'd be very happy indeed!

I don't really think about them that much. Depending on my mood I either let them be or squash them.

I would be more concerned about my keyboard than any dam*ed spider! If he got squashed under a key or two it could keep them from working right. As far as bugs go, I do try not to kill unnecessarily. I will kill a moth in a New York minute because I let one live once and about five sweaters that I really liked paid the price. I've never met a spider I didn't want to kill...we have really BIG ones down here. I will also kill roaches because they're nasty and the ants here bite so they're toast, too. I actually love dragonflies...they are pretty cool and butterflies, of course. No one is allowed to hurt them on my property...or the little green lizzards that scamper around here either.
