Over the months, I am quite impressed with the bowling performance of Ajanta Mendis and he seems to be a spin doctor of cricket. It seems its very difficult to predict what line and length he bowls and what I like most about him is he is a variety bowler. He got a lot of variety in bowling and he is capable of delivering 6 different balls in a over. He has shown a lot of ability and I wasn't surprised when he was selected as emerging player of the year 2007 by International cricket council (ICC)

Definitely is a very good bowler and his style is something very you need which is the only reason why is very difficult to pick up. And to add more he can spend about both ways which creates the element of doubt. He can bowl both the spins with almost the same action which is why he is very greatly. But I personally feel that when the batsmen will get a feel of him then that extra advantage will not be with him and then we can actually come to know how good a bowler he is when the real test of crediting qualities will come into the picture. But definitely he has a good temperament which issued in the test matches and I personally feel that he can to much better. He has a long career ahead of him and I can only see more improvement in him which will make him a better bowler.

He is a mystery bowler.Just cant forget how he came out of wilderness and how he stopped a certain victory for Indian team in the last edition of Asia Cup.To make matters worse he made our heroes including Sachin God Tendulkar look like school boys in India's tour to Sri Lanka.Except for Virender Sehwag's heroics in one test no body was able to handle him.He is truly cricket's future who will rule the cricketing world.I wish Sri Lankans play more cricket after his advent.

I haven't got a chance to watch him play but i saw clips of him taking wickets and he looks really good. I've also notice that he overshadows Murali in the bowling attack. Well this is not normal. You always have more than on great pace bowlers in your side but two great spin bowlers. This is good for the Sri Lankans.
