Its my 2nd Christmas I will spend in Denmark. I noticed that almost of the houses are putting up their Christmas lights earlier of this Month. One thing caught my attention is the color, its just the same, i mean the ordinary color which is yellowish. I remember way back in the Philippines, my mom put up our Christmas lights outside our house hung on a tree or she created stars like form and etcetera. The Christmas lights were full of colors--red, pink, green, yellow, blue, orange and a lot more. It even has an option either to make it twinkle or not and with sound or without. How about you any particular thing that your Christmas light has? Does it has one color or full of colors too? Happy mylotting everyone!

My husband and I take turns choosing the color of our tree and this year we let our daughter choose. He likes multi color and I prefer blue. I was very fortunate this year though, my daughter chose blue. We accent with silver decorations and of course the homemade ones our daughter makes every year in school. I think the plain yellowish lights can be beautiful with all the sparkling decorations they make to go with them but I cannot afford such extravagant pretties so we just use what we have. Our whole downtown area in our town is lined with trees and one huge christmas tree and they are always done in the same plain yellowish lights with no balls to accent them. This year they even did the huge tree plainly. It is rather boring but I'm grateful that they decorate so I won't complain. Around our town though, the people that decorate their houses are always very creative with a huge multitude of colors. One person here spends about 50000 us dollars each year to decorate his house. He even has a 50 inch projection lcd tv outside his house playing christmas movies. It is insane. I love this time of year and it is rubbing off on our kids, they absolutely love driving around looking at christmas lights.

Hi psspurgeon1.. I can imagine who splendid to look at that particular house with so much Christmas decors on his house. I remember when I went to a place in the Philippines whereby they had this contest per district or town of putting up colorful Christmas decorations. At night the place looks so bright, so festive and so joyous like one can feel the magic or happiness Christmas brings. But nothing could compare your daughter's homamade Christmas decor, how proud you are of her as parents. Thank you for sharing.

I like the multi colors better than one single color. I have all colors on my tree - red, green, blue, yellow, clear, pink. I think it looks better than just one color.

I love all the colors so that's what type of lights we have. I also put different colored bulbs on the tree. To me Christmas means color, until I see a silver and gold tree or a blue tree, I just love them all. Ha

The lights on the Christmas tree are red and white and these are lights some 2 Christmases ago. The outside light on the window is yellow. We used to have multi-colored lights with music but it's already beyond repair. My cousins and nephew put up the Christmas tree and the lights last week of November because I just got back home. And there's a Christmas lantern (star) on the porch with lights too and it's multi-colored lights. This was made by the inmates in the detention and rehab center and it's last Christmas too. Merry Christmas.
