Do you text or talk?

It seems these days that everyone is texting on their phones all the time. I even see people texting while they are driving! Is there anyone who actually talks on the phone anymore? I personally don't care for either. I do have a cell phone, but I prefer to communicate with someone in person if possible. What are you...a texter or talker? Rhonda

I like to text. I think that it is more convenient in some situations. I still like to talk on the phone though. It is much easier to tell a story over the phone than by a text. I also think that it is easier to judge what people are thinking and feeling when you have a phone conversation with them. As for the comment about texting when I drive, I almost never do this. I think it is really dangerous, becuase it is hard to pay attention to the road. If you need to talk to someone when you are driving I think it is safer to have a phone conversation with them.

It depends really on the situation. If you are mute, have harelip, or defects in pallate I think texting is better. Imagine talking to ngo-ngo? But if you are blind then talking is better because you cannot see they keypads.

Like you I don't see what the big deal about texting is, but it seems some people jut can't get enough? Don't get me wrong I text with people all time(like now;) ,But I would rather just call a person and say whats on my mind then spend 10 minuts trying to type out a text with those agrravating cell phone keys. Then most of the time after I tet someone they just send some simple reply back 5 minuts later like "lol" "rly omg"

I'm not fast...my daughter will shoot 5 paragraphs at me before I even finish answering the first question! LOL! Sometimes, I'm so slow, she calls! Haha! She should have done that in the first place! Rhonda

I am a big texter. i would personally prefer to talk on the phone. but since i am a stay at home mom everyone i would talk to is at work and most people are more likely to be able to text and work then talk to i text way more. i Live in minnesota and it is now illegal to text while driving for anyone and illegal to talk under the age of 18. it is very convenient and only takes a few seconds and then you can get a answer to a question or talk to more then one person at once.

I can see your point. I'm ok with a quick question and answer, but the whole having a conversation thing is not for me. Rhonda
