Is avatar important to you ?

When joining internet forums, we usually asked to upload our avatar.
Are you too picky and making serious attempt to choose your avatar cause it will represent your profile picture. Or do you consider avatar as a mere icon / symbol that it doesn't have to represent or even similar to your profile picture ?
Here in Mylot I'm already changed my avatar twice. I just love cute and funny avatar, so when I see new cute images, I'll definitely change my previous one :) So, for me my avatar doesn't have to resemble my self.

I am not to picky or choosy about the picture that I put as my avatar, but I would definitely want to have a picture than leaving it all blank. I am not too comfortable with the idea of putting my own photo, so I upload a nice picture that I like. It doesnot not necessarily have to be an extension of myself or something. Anything that suits my fancy at that time is ok with me. In mylot I too have changed my avatar twice.Right now I have put this image which I found very soothing and was bored of my previous picture, so I changed it.
