I comeacros many people who are so much bothered about what happens after death. Life is short. Should not we enjoy it instaed of bothering about what happens afetr death? In my opinion, when we in deep sleep, what happens? We are in forgetfulness, right? We cease to be. Most probably, the same thing happens after death.

The reason you don't want to bother with it is that you have already decided what you beleive, and if what you beleive is true, the afterlife is not worth worrying about, so we should just enjoy life. If on the other hand, a person thinks there is something after life, it is much more complex because we have no experiance with afterlife and it is much more tricky to understand and accept something you know nothing about, so it take as lot more time to bother with.

Whatever happens, the reason why we seem to be so concerned about what happens is because we do not know. Does the conciousness remain or not ? Then from our childhood we are made to believe in the concept of heaven and hell, hence the curiosity and fear of knowing more.
