I think that when people focus on how much they are spending on their gifts or who got more, etc. then that is wrong. It is the fact that someone gives you a gift in the first place, you know that they thought to give you something - that is what is special about it. And really people forget about the true meaning of Christmas and that is that it is to celebrate that Jesus Christ was born for us. People really don't concentrate on that aspect of it as much as the shopping and wrapping, etc. This year we did not have a lot of money to buy presents so I bargain shopped everywhere to find gifts for our kids. My husband is the only breadwinner in this family and we have 4 children too. With the economy the way it is going he is not getting any of his bonusses this year that he would have normally had and our budget is really suffering all around because of it. I am just happy that our children got a few presents, stocking stuffers and that we have each other. I think the most important thing is to honor Jesus, enjoy the love and friendship of family and friends, and to just relax and enjoy the Holiday. Otherwise you end up being stressed out for no good reason. Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

Christmas is indeed a season of joy, peace, sharing and giving. But who the heck said that it's necessary to buy gifts? I give gifts to friends, colleagues and family but I don't necessary buy them. Some could make something from recycled things and turn it into something useful and wonderful. Gifts don't have to be expensive. I gather my ideas from magazines and even tv shows and I realized they are very helpful. All you have to do is put your heart and mind to it. Though having money and just buying gifts would be a lot easier but I believe it is less personal. Best gifts for Christmas of course, is something that comes from the heart and given because you want to share or give something of yourself and not just because you want to give because everybody expected you to.
