have you ever imagine to travel where no.....

One time my three friends and I traveled up from Brisbane to Cairns. We traveled along some very empty roads to get off the beaten track. We went to a lovely palm fringed beach and had a swim. Later I sat in front passenger seat and went to sleep however my pillow fell out of the open window. Luckily one of my friends noticed it and we went back a bit to get in. It is wonderful to drive with peace and quiet. I love to look out of the window at the landscape.

I have not imagined traveling by car in areas where there is no other traffic, but I've imagined being in a clearing in the midst of a forest with giant trees surrounding my cottage and where there is no other sound but the sound of nature.

Yes I did this. I am a very nervous driver and don't like driving anyway. I live in Canada and there are still very isolated places with good highways. A few years ago I went to Sept-Isles Quebec and rented a car there to drive to the end of Canada at the east coast a place called Blanc Sablon where the highway ends. I drove and drove and in the next few hours I only encountered one car and a truck. I parked at the side of the highway and got out of my car, looked at the peaceful scenery and shouted "I am the king of the road". Ha, ha, silly me, but it was lots of fun.
