Yes! Why dont they. It is annoying that the top of the bread is not toasted properly. I really do not know why this is. Maybe because it might be harder to get it out or something but I have to use a knife anyway
(not recommended).
If the bread went down into the slot further and the popper up thing popped up higher this would sort it out.
I think we have to complain to all the toaster makers out there to fix this problem for us.

It's not the toasters. It's the bread. The slices are larger than they used to be. Portion control still being a problem for most of us.

I agree with you entirely! We just bought a big new 4-slice toaster which will take very thick bread but it doesn't like tall bread! You have to sort of force it don into the slot and grid.
I guess the answer to this is in the category of 'where do odd socks go in the washing machine?'
