And if you do, what do you like to write it about? If anyone doesn't know, fanfiction is stories with characters from a book, movie or tv show. It's not really all that legal but if yo don't try to profit from them no one really cares and you don't get sued. There is a site fanfiction.net that has tons of categories you can write in. I seldom have the time to go there, but when I do, I have a good time. I write Fanfiction for couple of different fandoms. Right now I'm working on Pixar Cars one. I like to read stuff from old shows like X-Files and Babylon 5 that I miss that are off the air, as well as certain movies. I was just wondering if anyone likes to write and read fanfic

I do. I haven't updated my chaptered ones in a little over three months, but I still do write fanfic. It's mostly video game stuff, like Final Fantasy Series or Kingdom Hearts, but I do deviate into anime every once in awhile. Not often though. I do it because I enjoy it and it's nice to see people's responses to it. It's just fun!

I don't write fanfic, although I've tried in the Harry Potter. I love reading fanfic though. My favorite fanfics are: Alien Nation, Monk, and Harry Potter.

After my favorite show Charmed went off the air I began writing some fan fiction based off it. I enjoy reading the Charmed Fan fiction as well. It keeps your favorite television show alive in a way.

Actually, that's how I got started writing again. Once Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel went off the air, I missed the shows terribly. I started searching and found some great fanfiction. I read every story I could about my favorite couple, which as you can tell by my nickname, was Xander and Cordy. I read all of those that I could find, then started reading pairings like Xander/Willow, Xander/Faith, etc. I read all of those as well and then I happened upon a few Xander/Angel and Xander/Spike. I was thinking, "I don't know if I'll like this or not." I especially was hesitant to read Xander/Angel pairing since they hated each other so much on the show. I read "Repossession", a Xander/Spike story that was over 100 chapters and I fell in love with this pairing. There are some great authors in the Spander community and I could actually see these two being together since they were so alike (except for the fact Xander was human and Spike was a vampire). I still shied away from Angel/Xander (or Xangel) because I couldn't picture that working out and then I read "Nexus" and all of the sudden, I truly could see the pairing. I began writing fanfiction about a year and a half ago. I have two stories that are still going and literally a hundred notebooks filled with writing. My husband and I owned a little country grocery store so while it wasn't busy in the store, I would get out my pen and paper and write. Some of these notebooks are part of the stories I have already started posting on the internet and there are four stories I have started writing but have not posted since it's been so long since I updated my current stories. I love writing fanfiction and reading it as well. I was afraid to start posting my stories and my son suggested I write a shorter story, post it and see what happened so I did. It took me like two hours to write the story. By the next day, my inbox was full of comments. Everyone was so supportive. So I started posting chapters of my first story and ended up winning a few runner-up awards. I was so proud of myself. I don't have much time to write on them any longer since I am trying to earn money online. By the time I finish writing articles for this woman that I am working for and by posting some to AC, I don't have a lot of time left. I miss it a lot and people have been begging for me to update. I have decided that my New Year's resolution is going to be to make some time for my fanfiction writing and to be able to post at least one chapter a day until they are finished. Nothing is worse than investing yourself into a story, only to have someone never finish it and I'm not going to do that to my readers.

I wrote one there about five years ago (lol) in the EverQuest genre. Called 'The Faydark' if I remember correctly. It's pretty rare for me to be interested enough in a TV series or game to write something, I have to say, though it is a lot of fun to do. I always find myself short of ideas, unfortunately!
