I would say Michael Jackson and Thriller. It probably is wrong though, but around 1988 I heard this non-stop everywhere.

There are actually a hand full of famous music from the 80's.One of them is "Wild Boys" by Duran Duran.Other famous songs like "Always something there to remind me","Just got lucky","Head over heels" and who would forget that Rick Ashley song "Together forever".Try surfing the net for other famous 80's songs you will find a lot.Goodluck on your search.

thriller without a doubt. bon jovi was kool so was wham and george micheal(solo) but for me it was michael jacksons' thriller or billy jean.
