I know there has been many discussions about the weather and snow. Many people have already experienced mounting amounts of snow. Today a hugh storm is brewing across the nation. Are you expecting a big one today or will it be ongoing snow that you have had this week? I am waiting, we are expected to get at least six to twelve inches. Are you ready to make that snowman for Christmas?

Same here in my town in michigan, we are expecting 6-12. it has been coming down non stop all morning so I think we may just get that 12. Schools are closed all around. I even stayed home from work today because I didnt want to get stuck coming home from work. (well that and I had some wrapping and baking to do...LOL) Funny because the snow about melted the other day and I thought that maybe we wouldnt have a white christmas, but mother nature made sure we will have a white christmas. I thought I heard that we are supose to get another storm in a few days? Keep your shovel handy!

The snow has finally come, I live in New Jersey. The weather report says that it is coming down two inches an hour. I think we will get twelve as well. I really do not like shoveling, but you got to do what you got to do

What area of Michigan? I was born and raised in Dearborn Heights near Detroit and I also lived in Alpena, Iron Mountain in thew UP, as well as Mackinaw many years ago. I worked at Mackinaw Island in the 60s and loved the wintertime on the island. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

We are right smack in the middle of the state, Breckenridge. I frequently go up to the UP. My grandma lived in sault ste marie. We visit the island eveyr year, as my husband likes to go to St.Ignace in june for the car show. We can just take a ferry over to the island for the day. i have never been there in the winter and have always been curious of how many stay there on the island all winter. I am familiar with the detroit area, and Iron mountain rings a bell. For some reason I am thinking there was a ski resort there.. or something like that.

Dang weekend glitch with the email notifications happening for me again it seems as I did not get a notice about this discussion. Well here in Minnesota we are nearly 6 inches above normal snow fall already this season and it isn't even officially winter yet. Saturday we are expecting up to 8 inches with high winds and maybe even a blizzard in the area. My area is under just a winter weather advisory for now but could switch to a blizzard warning depending on the path of the storm in the next 12 hours. I am anxious as I love the snow and cold. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Seems like you have received quite a bit of snow thus far. Here in New Jersey we are under a winter weather warning until Monday. I have already shoveled twice today. My husband usually does the shoveling, but he is working. Right now it is sleeting, but is supposed to change back to snow later on. Enjoy the snow
