Hot or Cold?

Ok, I'm definitely glad that Mylot is not a video chat site! I'm sitting here bundled up with multiple layers of clothing, a blanket, a cup of coffee, slippers, a heater at my feet. And of course my cat is sitting on my lap for extra body heat. See why I'm glad that this isn't video chat? Perhaps, this is why I'm single?? No, no no. That is a topic for a whole other discussion. But, as you can probably guessed by now, I am freezing! I do not like it! I hate being cold! Maybe it is just because I'm cold now, and in July I will tell you I hate heat!, I would rather be cold! Etc. So, I'm entitled to change my mind am I not? So my question to use this, which do you prefer, to be hot or cold? Which is worse? How do you get yourself warmer, or cool off. Personally, I'm much more interested in tips on how to make myself warmer at the moment, but feel free to share ideas on how to keep yourself cool if you feel compelled to. Happy Mylotting!

I hate being hot more than cold. I can always put on extra clothes or wrap up in a blanket. When I'm hot i can only remove so much clothing before being arrested. We try to keep our heat turned down to 65 degrees in our apartment so we have blankets on the backs of the furniture for people to cover up with.

I hate being cold too! I wish I had a cat to snuggle up to, that is a really great idea. My absolute must during the winter is a hot water bottle. I really can't sleep unless my feet are warm. I tend to have soft fluffy pyjamas, socks and my hot water bottle. Snug as a bug in a rug!

I like to keep warm rather than being in a cold place. If you're cold right now, go ahead and fix yourself a cup of hot cocoa and you'll feel warm. Make sure that you hold your love one's hand ..that will definitely makes you a lot warmer.

yeah , a cold day ah ha , we stay at home , do not go anywhere , we try to use some tools to keep ourselves warm such as the electric heating , blankets , thick cloths and so on , that's the sure some bad days before they offer the heating power system , but now that's changed , we sit on the warm rooms tomylotting , so enjoy , so pleasure to spend a great day ` the most important , no matter the hot or cold , we warm the hearts , have the more energy to do everything , that's indeed great , we share the ideas in this big family , fell so warm more than any other things `` and happy mylotting , the Christmas coming , so Merry Christmas , friend ````

Hot and Cold - comparison between hot and cold
I personally believe the more clothing your wear, the more warmer you would feel. I am from a hot country, but i had to do my masters so i had gone to a cold country, which climatic change for me, and i learned a lot about how to keep myself warm, and moreover heaters do not work all the time. So i basically wear thermal top and bottom to keep my self warm, I also wear slippers at home. I don't drink tea or coffee more than once a day instead i substitute with hot water which is good for your body and it also keeps you warm. To keep yourself cool - you hv the windows open so that air is ventilated and if you have an humidifier its best it can remove the hot air and make you feel cool. I hope i have given the coorect suggestion and ideas to help you out.

I am ALWAYS cold. I hate it! I pile on sweaters and blankets, have a dog in my lap and one at my feet, and nothing helps! I would rather be too hot, but it doesn't happen often (even though I live in a very warm climate).

I myself prefer the cold. One can keep adding layers of clothes to stay warm. Yet there's a limited amount we can take off to keep cool. Besides I live in Minnesobrrrr! So I am used to being cold this time of year. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I dont like the heat. I dont the heater to be up too high. I would rather use more blankets and wear more clothes. I have central heat and if it gets too hot, it chokes me up and makes me sick. I dont like to breathe real hot air either. I like it cool and comfortable.

I hate being cold...being cold makes me feel like I'm sick. The cold weather is one of the reasons why my husband and I moved to Florida five years ago. It's warm and sunny here. (Sorry) I can't offer you any additional advice on staying warm since you're already doing everything that I used to do. As far as keeping cool in the heat, aside from the obvious AC unit, air circulation is the key if you don't have air conditioning. Open windows on the shaded side and use a fan or fans to pull that air into the house. Ceiling fans are good for this, too. Close the windows on the sunny side so that the hot air on that side stays out. Also close your shades/curtains. Wear light clothing...cotton is good...and loose is better than tight. I hope you warm up soon!

You sound as though you are really cozy now! It sure is cold over here in London! I'm sitting by my computer now and yes, the cups of tea are flowing! You should check out my other discussion on tea and cold winter days! I love to stay warm although I love the cold weather! That is, I love to see it all snowy and white outside! As long as I have a cup of hot chocolate or tea that I can get my mits around then I am one happy dood! Andrew Happy Christmas by the way and stay warm.

I would prefer cold...it's because I'm from a tropical place where it's so hot that even an umbrella isn't enough but now, the wind is a bit chilly because it's December. Tips in how to keep warm? Maybe, drinking lots of hot chocolates or even eating a hot soup will help! Eating something spicy? It will make you sweat alot though. Of course, it depends on your tolerance with spicy food. Happy Mylotting too!!! ^^
