He came to the podium and just started firing off--IM NOT GUILTY and being very firm about it. I really did not expect this at all--what is up with this guy?? Sounds like he has plenty of people out to get him from his arrogance and he comes out with a statement such as this?? He said he is not quitting but where does he go with all this? Especially while he has to go through what I see as a long drawn out court process, how will he govern? Something is not right about this guy, he doesnt seem like a compulsive liar but someone with a dangerously blown up ego. Why in the world did he feel such a need to go to the press is what I'm trying to figure out I cannot believe for a second that his lawyer would advise such a thing. 'please reserve judgement me, serve me the same rights as your children would have....right to innocence'[Blagojevich]

It's hard to buy off on a statement like this when the Cops have tapes to prove the charges IMHO, though, I think that they should have waited to come out with all of this when money actually changed hands. Then they could have arrested two crooks and I think they he could have been removed from office. His arrogance is astonishing. I think that one of the polls indicated that over 80% of the people of the state think that he should step aside and this clown is so arrogant that he thinks that he should stay on and fight. I think that I heard that his attorney advised that he should issue a press release but I'm not certain that he would have advised that he have a press conference. Attorneys typically tell their clients to keep their mouths shut.
