My mom wants to make some chicken pot pie, but we don't own a cookbook, or a family recipe for chicken pot pie, so everyone here is our cookbook. So, let me turn the page ah! Now how do I make chicken pot pie?

First you need to find out who it is that actually HAS enough pot. Once you've worked this out, get stuck into it and before you know it, you won;t care about chickens at all. You WILL be very hungry later though, but the last thing you'll want is pie. Just make sure that you are pretty close to a 7-11 and you'll be fine.

I open the Marie Callendar's box and stick it in the microwave. Never made one from scratch myself!

Yea I feel ya there, I would prefer to just stick something in the microwave for like ten minutes and have it done, then taking 3 hours for a family recipe...but that is not what my mom thinks she thinks it is the only way to do it. I guess it is a mom thing I don't know lol.

If you have Bisquik in the cupboard, check the back of the box... Several years ago I made a pot pie using Bisquik as the topper, I remember it being pretty good.... got it off the box at that time.... or, you could search on www.cooks.com - that's my favorite site for finding new recipes!! :)
