It is really enjoying to read. I like the way writing images comes from words. I prefer emotions of fear ( description is mesmerizing ), romance tickled ( shyness, humour, happiness ) rather than description of places. I have a site that let me enjoy this in "my website" in my profile.

I have to say that reading gives me the safe sensation, the exact same feeling. I've always loved to read. It has always helped me enter a world and forget, to a certain extent, what ever may be worrying me or something. Books have always been good friends to me, for quite awhile.

I second to that. Reading has helped me a lot in so many ways. In reading you always have this intellect and the power to know things that you don't expect to know

I love to read. I've been reading since I've learned how to when I was 4 years old. Now, reading is my favorite hobby.
I would pretty much read anything, although I'm usually gravitates towards fiction. I read to escape and entertain myself. I find such joy from reading.
A perfect day would be for me would be to spend curled up in bed reading an excellent book. Go, readers, go!

yes i am very fond of reading, like what you said, it is an escape.
i also love books because you would know the minds of people even if theyre fictional. not everyone has the chance to be able to know what a person is thinking and books give us that chance. And also, reading almost always gives as a great lesson afterwards. plus it makes you intelligent, just like you said.
reading to me is like watching a very long movie! thanks for putting up this discussion.

I agree with you that reading has escaped alot of the population. This may be attributed to the fact that many people do not have a high level of reading. Some find that if they cannot read quickly, it is not worth the undertaking.
I personally disagree. I think that reading is one of the greatest gifts that we have been given. Reading opens up a passageway to the rest of the world. To places that we have never been and may never get to experience in any other form than a book.
I also think that reading is a wonderful way to increase knowledge. You can gain both practical knowledge and insight into the worlds of other people.
Reading can also be wonderful for children because it improves their gramatical skills and also opens their mind to use their imagination. Reading is the cornerstone of our lives and I hope that it continues to be so.

I agree. It gives me knowledge in so many things. I also discover things that I wasn't expecting to know and gives me idea whenever I am confused and want to know something. It is also a great way to relax but at the same time you gain more information.
