Mac or windows

I've got 2 macs (mac book and mac mini). My company issued me a laptop with Windows Vista on it. I've got 2 UMPCs (one installed with Debian Lenny and the other Ubuntu 8.10), they are for experimentations, I wouldn't perform experiments on my primary workstations, because of the hassles if you mess up things. Anyway, I find my self working most of the time on the Macs and Linux boxes, very seldom on the Windows Box. The only time I open the windows box, is when overseeing projects written on .NET (at work, although, I've got the MONO framework running on the macs as well). The reason I like the mac, is because of the UNIX capabilities. The beautiful hardware and easy to use Aqua window manager, don't hurt. Thanks, happy lottin.

for personal use i like mac for development windows

I never really warmed up to the mac although I've heard that it's changed since we had to maintain them when I was working in college computer labs ten years ago. I've always used PC's and still prefer those.

Well both r the best operting system and different people has different opinion and points. As far as my view is concern i am using window xp and has not used mac till now but i am thinking to use it. For me i love window xp rather than vista.

hello there... i haven't try to use mac OS yet because i'm very comfortable with windows platform for my everyday works... i don't know how mac works and how's the system also so i don't think i would change it but if the time permits, i might try mac for few months and see how it works... for now, i'm using windows vista ultimate and i'm really happy with its performances... been using like 5 months... works great with my system...

I am from India and here Mac operating system is not so famous compare to windows operating system.I think only few business people is using Mac powered pc.

i think it depends on the user's needs.. if you are new to Computers you better go with a MAC.. if You need special Business Function you go with windows.. if you need to customize everything your OS does go for linux.. also linux has a lot of free softwares..
