Do they serve ketchup or sos for free at your pizza place?

In our town the hot ketchup, oregano oil and sweet ketchup is free. The pizza is huge and we love that pizza place. But this summer we visited another city and over there they charged us for the sauce or ketchup. I think that ketchup should be for free, it's not like you could eat a tone of it. How is pizza served in your town? Do you have to pay for ketchup?
