God puts the opportunties before us, it is up to us to do the rest. Of course, we can't always do it alone. Also, sometimes we can't be the miracle we want to be for someone.
But I'm glad you are trying.

Quit asking for things you aren't willing to help make happen. Not everyone can give what every person needs but you do what you can. Even when I needed food stamps to put food on my table it didn't stop me from sharing that food with others who needed it.

That makes me think of Bruce Almighty. That was a good movie.
It's true though. So many people sit around waiting for God to fix things. I think God DOES want to fix things...and that is why he put us in the world! If we all were focused on being the miracle for someone else, things would be much better. My dad loved to use the saying, "God helps those who help themselves." I think that is very true. God blesses our lives and the lives of others through our actions.
