So I guess I should start off with saying in September my boyfriend got my a little 4 week old kitten. I named him Buddy. So come October this year I called this advertisement that I had seen called Cats Alive. The article came in this monthly news letter the community center delivers. Cats Alive, is a Winnipeg based program where you can get your cat spayed or nutured, have its shots up to date, and have it tattoed all for 20.00 . Oh and also they pick up and deliver the cats. I called and made a appointment in October and it was for November 20th. So November 15th I recive a call asking when I wanted to get my cat in. I explained I already had a appointment for the 20th. She looked and looked for my file and couldn't find it. It was the same girl who booked the appointment in the first place. ( I write down names when I deal with things like this because I have this kind of luck.) So finally she calls me back and says ok well you have to wait until December 17th. So here I go waiting again. So come December 15th I am calling and leaving messages for this girl and no response. I need to know what time they will be picking up the cat and dropping him off and when do I pay and what not. So come the 17th the day of my appointment no one shows up. I go down to the vet and they tell them I am here for a appointment. Sure enough I don't have anything there. They send me next door. I go next door to find 2 very nice young ladies working at the counter. They said that this program had been canceled and that everyone should have gotten notice. Well I said I'm here now, this is what I was told, let me talk to someone who can make a decision. So they did. The girl that came to help me was a rude old lady. She was saying oh your here at 10 o'clock and drop off is at 8-9am. Well hello my cat was supposed to be picked up. I called and called and just got the dumb recording so finally I found a ride down there, which is 45 minutes away from my house. So back to my point, she said it wasn't going to happen. So here I am trying to do the right thing by getting my cat fixed and registered and they don't want to help me. So I finally explained this to the vet and after she found out how rude this other lady was to me she said she would do it for the cost I was told. With a big sigh of relief I said thank you and kindly paid for my cats visit to the vet. He came home that night ( I had to pick him up) and he is doing fine. Chopped nuts, tattooed, and pricked with a needle. Does stuff like this happen to you when you try to get something done for your pet?
