No this isn't one of those goofed pictures of a blender, a type writer, and a t.v. as a computer... I wish I had a camera to show you the damage on our laptop though. I know I'm only using the computer to make money, and could just as easily not use the computer. However, we're probably going to end up going to goodwill sometime today to get a monitor for the laptop. We had to buy a keyboard but then the keyboard on the laptop started working again. Me and my fiance have joked about if we have to get a new monitor we're going to have a redneck computer, and well, here we are going to need a monitor.
So anyone else have to use their computer in a strange way? Before our pig tailed network card wasn't working right so I had to use the computer with it being slanted.

This is a very good discussion baby, and I am surprised that no one else responded because you think the title Redneck Computer would get a lot of attention because it is not something you see or hear everyday, and I know it is not a goofed picture of a blender,a type writer,or a television as a computer, and I wish that we did have a camera so we could have taken a picture of the damage that our laptop had,and I know you did not have to use it,and I remember when we were going to go to Goodwill to look for a monitor for it,just like we bought a keyboard that we ended up not needing because the keyboard on the laptop started working again, and if we had had to get another monitor then it would have been a redneck computer, and I remember when you had to use the laptop with it being slanted because the network card was not working right which sucked because if you moved too much it would come out and you would lose the connection,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day ,good luck with all your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

Yes but then even I got the network card to work, but hey it was fun to use while it lasted, even if I did have to turn every which way sometimes just to get a connection. I love you and appreciate your response to me. Have funny mylotting, of course when I give you the chance to.

Hey! You're talkin' my language now. I'm a total red neck
raised in Georgia. Don't get me started on red neck ways.
Half of my red neck ways come out of pure desperation and lack of money, the other
half stem from just plain hard headed stubbornness and refusal to admit that I'm defeated.
Anyway, you should have seen some of my jerry-rigged computer contraptions.
I have pieced together more than one 'puter and made it work.
Once I got a little too physical with the CD-rom drive on my daughter's
computer, when a disc got stuck and accidentally yanked the tray too hard
and broke it.
So I opened up one of my old busted computers and rewired the DVD drive
from the one computer into the other.
Worked just fine.
Except it only ran CDs since there was no DVD decoder software on her Windows 98 computer. You should have seen that thing. I had two computers opened up side by side, cabled together, so she wouldn't stick her hands inside.
I even swapped out the cables for the hard drive, but when I booted the thing back up, it told me that I had an illegal copy of Windows. That scared me straight.
I had no idea there was such a thing.
Nice to know it's possible.
I love a challenge. Mostly cause I can't afford to buy new everytime something messes up.
Happy to hear that you finally got things working. Thanks for talking about my favorite subject, computers.
