I guess December's the month for splurging on Perfumes and Colognes, do you?

I must of seen 15 different commercials by now and some even back to back. I know theres perfume commercials but never like around christmas. But i wondered since the commercials are so much now close to December--
does everyone go out and by their perfumes/colognes just once a year--is that what the tv would suggest. Me, I really only splurge on my perfume once a year unless I run into an excellent deal.
But I think Charlize Theron and Anne Hathaway have pretty good commercials.
Do the commercials make any impressions on you? Get you buying something different?
How often do you buy your perfumes?

Hmm, I can't live without perfume. I love collecting those sweet scent of victoria secrets, beautifuland super model are my favorite scents. I also like Turbulence by revlon, little black dress by Avon U.S.A...Cabotine as well, Perfumes mentioned are affordable . I buy them if I feel like buying without any season.
I don't rely on commercial, I always test them by smelling and finding out if smells stays long.

I think there is an increase in many products during December because of the holiday shopping. Toys cars jewelry and perfume seem to be a few tops. I think it is because people like to give them as gifts as they are so pretty and fancy looking. But I have to say I am very unmoved by them. I work in a scent free school and many places here ask that people don't wear fragrances because of allergies of others. Doctors and hospitals as well. So though I have a few bottles of perfume I rarely ever get the chance to wear it. So those expensive perfumes and colognes I have no interest for me to buy.

interesting, although I would find this rule very hard to abide to because I have my hairspray, my hair gel, my lotion but it would be fun to go out and buy a bunch of vegan no fragrance items, what do you use in place of things you use your day to day life?

It is sometimes hard but here there is a lot of unscented choices for deodorant, hair spray, body lotion and laundry soap. I still have a hard time with shampoos but I look for mild scent that hopefully won't bother people. But full blown cologne like when I was in highschool the boys used to pile on so thick I would get a head ache myself, would be out of the question today.

Well, what I think is that commercials are neccessary because they can help you learn about new product by sitting in front of your TV set, instead of you going out yourself to learn about them. But they cannot force you into buying that product. It depend upon many thing.
Well, I buy my Colognes only when I start to run out of them. Which would give me a time of around in Two months or so.
Hope to read your reply soon.
Thanks
Bye....

You know, I actually think commercials do nothing for me about learning about a product instead just saying 'look at this beautiful celebrity, this is why you should buy it', I don't get to smell the product, the name doesn't tell me anything else about it, you know?

I don't really pay attention to the perfume commericials. I usually smell the perfume samples that come in the newspaper, and if I like a certain one, I would go buy it at the mall. I prefer the brand Channel, because they have a lot of different perfumes that I like.
