my son is coming from hostel after a long period. what i should i cook for him?

i am extremely excited. my son is coming from hostel after a long time. He is an admirer of good food and enjoys both regional and continental food. it only must be tasty,not too spicy and appetizingly served. i wish to cook something new or perhaps something different. please help me....what should i cook for him. i am puzzled as he wishes to taste something made out of my hands and not brought cooked from anywhere.
