The word "maturity", according to the dictionary means, having reached a stage of full natural development. The context can be vague and misleading. At first glance, natural leans toward anatomy, human or otherwise.Does maturity come after all our teeth have grown and we have achieved a permanent shoe-size? It could also suggest emotional and psychological stability. For some, maturity could be as simple as a kid using his fathers aftershave lotion, thinking he is old enough to shear his whiskers when there aren't any. Some girls start experimenting with mom's high heels and blouses even before they are half of their mothers height. Guys on the other hand declare that they are mature enough to play with dads power tools or camp out in their bestfriend's backyard for days. Others take it a step further by turning to drugs and alcohol. With slurred speech and a heavy head, they crash on the floor like swatted flies. They thought they were in control. They thought they were mature enough to handle the situation. They never thought they could lose themselves so closely. How about you? What is your view of maturity? When does maturity really come?
