I can say I am a regular newspaper reader but I dont read it daily but yes I read them very often.. During my college days I used to read it daily because I had all the time and I had subscribed to the newspaper home delivery.. Once I started working, I didnt used to get time for reading them at times and these days I am busy on the net so I dont read them often.. As of now was just reading the newspaper after many days so thought of posting this question. How about you?

Good question Joystick. I used to read the newspaper from cover to cover every day and subscribed to it. I always felt it was important to know what's going on in the world, and in our communities, just to keep current. After 40+ years of reading a daily paper, I gave up my subscrption to them about 4 years ago. Like everything else, it's an expense that just became too much per year. I now rely on the local tv news, and go and read my local papers on the internet. Sure, the ones on the internet are a day behind, but it's still pertinent. I also get my local news trailers in my inbox via rss feeds so if it's something really important I can read about it right away. I still get a Sunday newspaper, but instead of having it rural delivered I get it at the local convenience store.

I read a newspaper every day, but a lot of the time I am just reading the headlines and not bothering with the rest of the article as it does not interest me. I like to know the main things that are going on in the world that affects us all. :-) Derek

hello joystick7, No, because I only buy newspapers once a week and that is every Sundays only. During weekdays, I'm watching news in the tv after work. Can even see news through the internet so I don't need to buy newspapers daily. Every Sundays only, so I can read other things not in the news like job vacancies, items for sale and the likes.

Hello, friend. I'd say that we're quite similar in this particular issue. I also like reading newspaper, aside from books, magazines, and digests. But ever since I started working more than a decade ago, I seldom find time to sit back, relax, and enjoy reading a daily dose of local and world news and current events. Now that I'm also married with one daughter for a child, it's more difficult for me to squeeze this in my hectic routines. I'm also a working mom and naturally, I would do what's more important first than engage in reading the news. But I do get my daily dose of current events through watching television. I guess I would have the luxury of time to engage in my hobbies and those which I love doing, aside from taking care and being with our daughter, when I finally I'm displaced from my present job as a financial analyst in a local bank; and I'm afraid that this will come by the end of the first quarter of the coming year. Hopefully, I'd be able to earn as much as I could before this happens. And, I'm also looking forward to having and starting our own lawful family business which will also serve as our steady means of livelihood, with God's help.

In the past I had the habit to read newspaper everyday. But after I got married, I didn't have such kind of habit any more. My life will be busier. Besides, today it's quite convenient and fast to get the news via the net. I like this way much more. So I hardly read newspaper daily. I love China

When I was student, just like you, I did read news papers because I always had that spare time for it. However, since I entered the world of hard labor and eternal bureaucratic enslavement the time for doing such things has gone down the drain. However, I have found the alternatives, like reading news online. I have rss subscriptions on several pages that give me only specific news that I want, and that's more than satisfying.

I read it regularly. Mostly I do it for the health stuff and really bad stuff because that's mostly all there is anyway. "shrug"

Only when i am traveling, but nowadays im at home looking for job so i am busy reading them. I think thats what people generally do. Read only while they travel by train or bus cos of the Idiot Box at home we have all the news. Youngsters may read for jobs and other classifieds and old aged people also read them. Those who have a settled business or a steady job hardly find any time to read them.

Yes, I read newspapers regularly. Besides the daily papers which brings in news in various categories, I am especially keen on the weekly paper focusing on health proposals. The new paper issued by the company I used to work for gives me timely updates, including personnel changes, activities, new products, etc.

I don't really read it. I skim it if I see anything interesting or someone I know then I will stop and read it. I am really looking for coupons. I just started doing those puzzles they have in them. sudoku for the longest time I would see all these people doing them and i seen it in the paper and said let me try it and now I am hooked. i find it to be a stress reliever lol.

I think I might more if I had a subscription, though I might not read much of it. There are a lot of headlines, even local news online, so sometimes it seems pointless, unless you are looking for a home, a job, or there is info on some random local event, then somehow you miss out on some of that info online, even when you are on that paper's own site.
