hey, mylotters! sometimes we are too excited to get asleep at night,or we get worried about something that may happen later such as an importane exam, or a job interview..anyway, we can't easily fall asleep as usual..so what would u do if u find difficult to fall asleep? For me, i will try to make myself not to think about the things and said to myself 'sleep, sleep..' until i really fall asleep...but it doesn't work at all times..another way is counting numbers in mind..but i find its not fit to me...so do u have some new ideas? thank u in advance.

Most of the time I would take a nice warm relaxing shower and if I still can't fall asleep I would meditate or just lay there listening to my surroundings.

i just try and clear my mind and not think about ANYTHING, because it always leads to another thought, which stops me sleeping lol.

Hi! I just read a book while lying down on my bed, and I would simply doze off without knowing it, even when I'm too excited about the following day. I think I can easily sleep, because I love to sleep! If I am agitated, I would walk several times around the house and alternate this with watching TV or browsing over the net. Then, I will read while lying down. When I do that, I even sleep better. My problem is actually how to NOT fall asleep too often. Happy myLotting!

a very simple thing for me. i simply open my textbook and attempt studying. within half an hour and my lids would just start closing voluntarily. another way would be to drink warm milk. it's like quite a common practice to do so. when you cant' sleep, drink a cup of warm milk and you'd feel sleepy. maybe that's why babies sleep so much. =X

hi,friend! thank u for tips...reading a textbook is a good way for those students..as drinking a cup of warm milk is concerned, i heard of it and also had ever given a try but find it useless for me..what's more, i read about news that its not healthy to drink warm milk before the bed time..i don't know whether its true or not..

if i can't sleep i usually get up and come play around on the computer for a while. it usually starts to make my eyes sleepy and then i can usually fall asleep. or i may read, but it is hard sometimes to concentrate on reading if it is too late at night. :)

If I am too excited, then I would not even need to sleep. So, no problem.

I was laying in bed about 30 minutes ago saying I could be making money since I can't sleep anyway. i hate when I get that way so now I am here going through all my old emails from mylot trying to catch up and get paid doing so. I could really use the money so maybe I will reach payout by the end of this month.

I had this problem just tonight! I could not sleep because I left my heater on and it clogged up my nose and dried up my throat. Usually I'll play a couple rounds of soiltare on my cell phone. Sometimes I'll read for a bit. I have these meletonin strips that I take before bed. They help me get to sleep. I wish I had remembered to take one today. I have a long day and I really needed more than 2 hours of sleep.

well, when i have that problem i usually try to do some quick sport like go for run, after getting physically tired, its quite easy then, i was told just that to really fell to sleep comfortably, your mind as well as your body has to be equally tired... so if you study the hole day your mind may be quite tired, but your body is completely fresh... so there you have problems...

Trouble sleeping can begin as a mere irritation, but can quickly degenerate into a full blown health problem. You're young, so your body is more resilient than those over 40, however, lack of sleep impacts many areas...not the least of which are immune response, focus and personality balance. When I have trouble sleeping and I notice it's developing into a pattern, I start a melatonin cycle (http://tinyurl.com/7yky5u). This natural hormone is conducive to a good nights sleep, and because it's not a synthetic chemical, I don't ever feel groggy in the morning...not true with most synthetic sleep aids. In addition, melatonin is a GREAT antioxidant. Check out your local healthfood store and give it a try. RM Gray http://www.GrowThyself.org

I have been having terrible problems with sleep for a few months now and especially in the last few weeks! I fall asleep with no problems, but I wake up every 1.5 - 2 hours - somewhere between 4 and 6 times a night. I feel like I've tried everything - does anybody else have this specific problem? It's horrible! I'm looking forward to reading some of these posts - maybe I'll find a solution.....sigh

Ahhh.. I just put my music on in my ears. It makes me fall asleep. Hehehe, I don't think thinking nothing would make us fall asleep, counting numbers either. I don't know to others but for me it doesn't work.

If I cant fall asleep and I really need to sleep because I should get up early, I will drink warm milk then read a school book of mine during college to the point that I will be sleepy and sleep. Those are my doses to fall asleep. Sometimes I watch Television but at times, it make me not to sleep so I'm preventing that to happen. Do boring things that you know you will get sleepy.

I hate when I'm excited for something or have a lot on my mind and can't fall asleep! I usually drink some sleep medicine to help me get drowsy. It doesn't happen often so it doesn't really hurt me. It helps too because I get a good night's sleep for the upcoming day. - vanonas www.thelendingstory.com

I don't have any difficulty falling asleep, unless I have a deadline to beat or a good book that I don't want to put down. In such a situation, I induce myself to sleep by using self-hypnotism. A friend of mine eats Sweet Basil to induce herself to sleep.
