hey, friend! i like bears very much because they seem to be so powerful as well as cute..but one thing bothers me is that bears did eat their cubs sometimes, especially for the polarbears..one scientific explanation is because they are so hungry...but is that all? obviously, not all the wild animals eat their cubs even if they may die of starvation..what do u think of this? i can't figure out why those cute guys eat their little kids..

Oh I didn't know they did, maybe it is nature in a way if there is something wrong with the baby itself, I have heard of animals discarding their babies when there is something wrong with them, gee i never knew bears did that, so sad to think of that...

hi,lilaclady! i've watched a record about polarbear done by BBC. it showed that sometimes the male bear would track down the female bear with some babies in the winter(i'm not sure whether its winter or not for bears often hibernate in winter). if the babies got sick and are not able to keep up with its mom, they will be eaten by the male bear behind. but i saw another film about blackbears. there is nothing wrong with the baby bear, but it was eaten by several male bears, more shocking that eaters includes his father...
