It's true that money can't buy happiness; however, If you have money you can afford healthy eating and medical care. If you have money you can pay all your bills and not stress out about getting utilities shut off. Illness and stress lead to unhappiness so in a sense if you have money it can act as a band-aid to stop the illness and the stress. Money definitely can't buy friendship but it can pay for movie tickets, going out on the town, etc. If the above listed examples make sense then in my opinion money is a pretty good down-payment on happiness.

i totally agree with you that in a way, stress or "problems" can lead to unhappiness.

lol.. i guess it's quite true. They said... - Money can't buy happiness, but look at what most couples are arguing about? Money, right? - Money can't buy health, but if you do not have money, are you able to get the best medical care? - Money can't buy love...and like you said it makes a darn good downpayment.

agree. money canĀ“t buy happiness! even if you look happy you still can see it in the eyes that he or she is unhappy.happiness is from the heart not by face.

exactly. if there is something troubling some person, you can actually see it from the eyes. like they always say, the eyes are the windows to one's soul.

Money may not buy happiness but it can sure afford you a more comfortable form of misery.

misery? now that's interesting. are you thinking in the line of if you're sick and stuff, at least you have the money to pay for good medical services?

Well, in a way it can. Some people have financial problems. They're stressed because they don't know how they are going to pay bills, keep a roof over their head, and put food on their table. However, if they get money to do these things, a huge burden is lifted off them and they don't have to be stressed and upset. So when people say money can't buy happiness, I totally disagree with them. You have to look at it from the other angle. Suppose you've been a person who has never owned a house and you've payed rent your whole life. When you get the money to buy your own home, it makes you happy knowing that you never have to worry about evictions or mean landlords again. Or if you came up hard, if you come into money you can provide a better life for your children, and gain joy from that. So can money buy happiness? Yes it can.

I do not think that money can buy happiness. You can be the richest person in the world and still not have any true friends or people that you love. I must say that having money can make life a lot easier. In many situations, people with money are happier, but is it true happiness, or is it a front? I think that the happiest people are the ones who are surrounded by people who love them.

that is also true. when you're rich people might flock to you, but that's not because they love you for you but for your money.

It's really true. Happiness can not be bought with money. But did you not realize that people also will be happy if they have money? LOL. But for me, it is two different things. If you have a lot of money but there is no love in your heart, just greed, it is real obvious that you will not be happy but even if your money is just enough but you have love and compassion in your heart to your fellow men, sure you are happy.

Money`I would like to say that no one can life without it~however,I do believe that money can not buy happiness. As you could see many many cases that even the millionaires, they may suffer the embarrassed situation of spending money to save the relationship with the family~themselves health~blah blah`~is that happiness? I think you will be happiness as long as you can go well with your family and own a good health~~ Have a nice day`~

i feel its more true then any one knows. in the world we live in now we cant get buy with out having to pay for things. personaly if it wasnt for having to have food and a home i would never want money at all. everyone is so greedy and only in it to get everything they can. i would be happy with just the bare min money just complicates everything.
