I only had IE for a long time. I kept getting these error messages "IE.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows." Someone told me they installed firefox and all those error messages disappeared. Exited, I downloaded firefox and ExcEpt agt first, same here. Iwas able to go onto webites and not encounter that. Now, for the last coupleof days on mylot and yahoo, I've been getting "firefox.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. It just did it on mlot. So went went back to mylot on IE and it's working fine.

Firefox 3 tends to get a little unstable if you have too many plugins or addons. I've tried to uninstall some and it works fine. Firefox 2 is much more consistent and better in stability. I hate Internet Explorer, period. It's slow and it's problematic. The EXE error might be due to your Windows. Which version of Windows are you using? If it is XP, this kind of error is pretty rare.

Unfortunately there is no perfect Web browser, I have found that some work better with some web pages than others. Regardless of which browser you use, be sure to keep it up to date with releases. Set it for automatic updates if possible. That sometimes help. I alternate between IE, Firefox and Opera.
