Hurt My Back

On Tuesday night I went to gym but did a longer and harder workout. I did warm up andcool down as well as stretching but the day after my legs were very sore and I found it hard to bend down. I put this down to chnaging my workout because this happened the first time I went to gym. Then last night I thought about what I could have done to make bending down difficult. My legs feel a bit betetr but my back is really sore. Id used a machine called the Wave which is like a stepper and if you bend and hold it at the bottom handles it works your back legs. I think I have hurt my back doing that. If I am standing it doesnt feel so bad but sitting down and getting up is a struggle. I just want to know if I should rest it or what? Would gentle exercise like on a recumbent bike or walking be alright?

You probably didn't use very good form. maybe you used your back more than you needed to. Does this exercise work your back MUSCLES at at all?Maybe you are just sore because you got a good workout. If you feel that it is a bone that hurts, you should seek doctor.
