My Husband is a tall guy and so his pant size is a 34/36 or a 36/36. I have been looking for pants this length for a long time. When we were first married I found some and had just been buying them for ever. Now they are gone and I cant find any. Ive looked online and if I want his length then I will need to spend $100 a pair. There has to be a better way. Does anyone shop for a tall guy that can help me find out where to go?

I have seen the size you're looking for at Kohls department store. I have also seen them at Wal Mart but after a bad experience with their jeans a few years ago I haven't bought any other clothes there. I had bought three pairs of jeans (which on my budget was a huge treat!) and the first pair ripped along the seam on the rear end. The second pair ripped along the zipper seam and the third pair ripped along the waist just below the waist band. I got to really inspecting the fabric in the jeans and discovered that it was rather rotten! So I switched to Kohls and have found wonderful clothing that is great quality at super prices. Also, you might try Burlington coat factory. I know what you mean about not being able to spend that kind of money for clothing!! The manufacturers are out of their minds! If you have any outlet stores near you they also are great for finding the sizes you're looking for. I hope I was some help. Finding something that is considered as unusual is a royal pain...especially since gentlemen are getting taller and taller.

I have never looked at Kohls but I do get the occasional coupon from them. Thanks for the great tip. I can get what I need and also get a few dollars off. Burlinton coat factory is close to us but I didnt even know that they sold pants. I guess Id better go there and see what else I am missing. Thanks.

Our nearest Burlington Coat Factory is over 200 miles away, but I go there a couple of times a year. Not only do they have coats, but also all kinds of women's clothing, (skirts, pants, tops, shoes etc) they have men's clothing (shirts, pants, jackets and I think even underware) and children's clothes too. They have bedding such as sheets, comforters and pillows. Kitchen stuff and the list can go on and on. Plan to spend a bunch of time there checking things out. Especially if you go after Christmas and they are having a sale. I guarantee that it is worth stopping and checking the place out. Also, the thing about Kohls is there is a possibility that if they don't have the size you need they can get it in for you. I remember seeing 36/36 size in there...including jeans (their brand "Sonoma" is fantastic. I have had four pairs of their jeans and they have lasted for over three years and have no holes or tears in them. Also they aren't made from a nasty scratchy denim...it is a soft denim against the leg (I buy my jeans in the men's department because they wear better, are better made and are cheaper than the jeans in the lady's department.). In fact, I just bought a new outfit the other day...a lady's shirt and a pair of dress pants for $9.00. The original price was $42 for the shirt and $54 for the pants. They have great sale prices and are worth spending a couple of hours cruising through the store. I bought 15 pairs of shoes for about $60!!! They were all on clearance sale and name brand shoes. Have fun shopping these places...you'll cuss me out later!

The best place I've found is Wal-Mart. We didn't have the funds to splurge at the Big & Tall Shops. So, I'd just wait until Wal-mart had them. I never had to wait for long!!!

I have looked through Walmarts stock a few times. The never had what I needed, but I have wondered if I can order some in. It is worth a shot.

Have you tried jaystevens.com, www.bigandtallguys.com, www.bigtalldirect.com, and gap.com? They all have them for about $40.

What about find a tailor? Or it will be much more expensive than ready made clothes? Since his size is particular you might find it difficult to find bargains. It happens with my brother with shoes because he has such a large feet.

I think that the taylor would be a lot more. I have offered to make him clothes but he does not want to try that. To be honest I would not want it either if I were him.... I sew a lot of my skirts but I think women can get away with a little more.

Have you tried any feed or western stores? My hubby was a 36/34 when we married. Now for the past few years he's been a 40/34. It must be an odd size since I have no problem finding 40/32, 38/34, and 42/34. We've finally been able to find them at a few feed stores. I shop mostly at Tractor Supply since we have a horse and they always have his size.

If you can find anywhere that handle Lands Ends like an outlet store that may be a good chance for you. Also you can probably find some online on clearance since not everyone is tall. May want to check stores like Burkes Outlet or Ross if you have either of those near you

I have seen them at walmart, kmart and target. (I have a son that is 36/34) I often find that size on ebay too. I have gotten many from ebay that are used, but look new. Good luck shopping! you also may do a search online and find some that are not so expensive.

I have searched online but I have never thought of ebay. My hubby isnt to picky about what he wears. Id like to get him some nice casual dress pants as well. Im hoping they will not be as hard to find.

When I was in Target one time, it seemed like all I could find were the 36 length pants when I needed to find 34 length pants for my husband. Other than that, have you tried online? I know there are stores for "Big and Tall" and they probably have websites.
