Do you thank each and every one who responded to your discussion?

Do you do that? Although I try to add comment to each response over my discussion, I just can't thank every one of them. I just feel that those are my friends and there is not thank you in friendship. Also, I feel a connection with them. What do you think?

i never thought of my thanks that i give to other mylotters who respond to my discussion or comment to my response.... my thanks is i should say a little ironic.... the ones who agree with my discussion or give a positive reply or it could also be a negative reply but basically if the mylotter replies in a nice way and there is a good debate going on wihtout any miunderstandings i respond with a comment... and tell them in the post indirectly that i have appreciated their response thats why i have responded so well and also that the response was good enough for a nice long debate.... so its understood but if i dont like the response or i find that the response is very bland, one line response or rude..... i dont say anything much other than thanks for the response....thats when i use a thanks cos there is nothing in the response that i can debate with or talk about......

i only use a thanks when there is nothing else that i can say... but i never say just thanks.... i say "thanks for your response" and its on how others see it.... if you see it like thanks - i dotn want to hear anything more from you then thats your point of view..... not mine..... and a good bye after a date doesnt mean that the date ends bad so there will be no further dates..... it again depends on how the good bye is said....and the other persons negative point of view

We are all human and we think differently, as I have a different point of view and you have different. Happy mylotting.

So, you use Thanks to end a discussion. Well, this is a nice way to say "No, I don't want anything from you on this discussion". Just like saying good bye after a date!

No, I don't thank myLotters who respond to my discussions. I mean, its already implied that we are thankful that somebody replied to our discussion - this is a forum anyway. Moreover, saying just thanks or thank you or thanks you for your reply and other variations of them is against myLot rules.

Ok, this is a new think I came up by starting this discussion. Sometimes, I also give only thank you to my responders, Now, I will give up tihs habbit as it is against mylot guidelines! You have triple nelson number(333) against your user ranking.

You remind me of that math concept! X = 3n * 37, n = 3.

It would do good to you. Recenly I am seeing that my ratings are getting down. I don't know if this has to do something with my thanks giving response.

I don't thank every person who responds. It is actually in the rules that you cannot just write a response to thank someone. I only do so if I have a question or comment on their response. I had to re read the rules recently because one of my discussions was deleted and I wanted to know why.

haha I would but I don't want to break any rules lol. Its basically all depends on if someone reports you are not. Technically you aren't even supposed to start similar discussions! How is that possbile. THere are so many of us. lol I didn't read it too in depth. Only the bit I needed to read.

So, did you find anything extra that we should also know. I know reading mylot guideline is not line climbing mountains but still if you know something or got something you should tell us by starting a discussion, shouldn't you?

Well, I do not usually thank everyone who responds to my discussion. But as much as possible I try to respond to them. Obviously it would be very hard to monitor each post but I do try my best to respond to them may it be right away or later on.

If i count my discussion then I would say that only three of them are having more than 30 responses so, apart from these I tried my best to reply each and every response that I got from my friends at mylot.

I do see what you are saying. I do try to thank those that responded to my posts. I don't do it all of the time though. It is good for participation sake and it is nice to recognize those that took the time to answer. You are right that they are your friends and sometimes there is not thank you all the time in a friendship. I guess I also find a connection.

Same here. I find it difficult if I get more than 25 responsed for a discussion but for that also I try to respond to every discussion. There is no thank you and sorry in friendship.

I usually will try and go back in and respond to people who have responded in my discussions if I feel they deserve and answer, and then I usually will go in and check out their discussions they have started and respond back to one of them as well.

Hi sanuanu, I usually would try my very best to read over all the responses I received and to leave my comment on each of them instead of saying thank you. After responding to a discussion I would feel happy if the writer of it would read my response and saying something about it. Sometimes I still would apply the word “thank you”, “appreciate” or gratitude” if necessary. Yeah, since we are friends and always have mutual correspondence in our discussions here, so we don’t have to mention “thank you” too often. I believe all my friends here surely would feel the warmth and the joy if I support them by sharing my view and feeling in their new topics frequently in return. l know some of my good friends here very well by having interactive correspondence in interesting topics frequently. Besides I'm glad that I could learn lots of information and knowledge from them. Take care and posting.

Yeah, when I was still new here I found it was quite difficult for me to leave comments on responses I received so I just said thank you most of the time. This at least could show my courtesy and appreciation as well for their responses. Well, the gratitude you given to the new users would make them feeling the warmth and enthusiasm of the people here and this is the impetus to encourage them to keep on posting here It’s quite normal for us to mix up whether we have left comment on every response we have received. We make many posts in a single day, so it is quite difficult for us to follow up every response anyway. I did leave comments on responses which I had received more than a year ago. I found this when someone reactivated my old discussions. posting and Merry Christmas!

Exactly, you got my point and said it right. I was also saying the same. We don't need to say thank you to them. Sometime, when I feel that the guy is new and needs some encouragement I do thank him so that he would feel good and do mylot a lot more than he/she actually do. So, I also try to comment on each and every response I get and I am sorry if I miss anyone because mylot is like a world and we are human who can do mistakes. Thank you for the lovely and point toward the discussion kind of response.

Well, in start I used to write only one or two liners comment to each of the response I recieved. I was tole by my refferer that it would do good to me but since it has been some time so, I now know how and what to read and what to write so, whatever i write, I give thanks to the newcomers as very few newcomers would come and comment again. Happy Christmas

Well, I am replying to all the people who responded to my topics. I have read somewhere in the guidelines that it is not necessary to say thank you to those who responded because this is a discussion. Well, it depends also because there are times that you need an urgent answer to what you want to know, and when you get the exact respond to your queries, you could not help but say thank you. But for me it is not necessary to say thank you to all... just a few of them where the word thank you fits in.

Just like that. I have also heard that saying Thank you will delete that comment. Well, it is not written in guidelines but better to take precautions than pay the penalty. Anyways, Happy New Year Bebs08. So, are you going to change your username to Bebs09? Just kidding.

Yea, no comments should be there on saying thank you but what I am saying is that do you thank them at the end of the line. I do that seldom as I am doing it to you. Thank you very much for your response.
