He was 68. In his 42 years with Reuters, Spiegelman deployed his sparkling prose on presidential elections, the diplomatic turning points of the Cold War and showbiz murder trials. He covered the murder of John Lennon in 1980, the Reagan-Gorbachev summit in Moscow in 1988, the Gulf War of 1990-91, and the O.J. Simpson murder trial in 1995. Spiegelman said the highlights of his late career focus on entertainment included interviews with Kirk Douglas, comic Don Rickles, and Sophia Loren.[/i] he sounds amazing doesnt he?? i hate it when i find out about awesome people and all the things they did AFTER they die so there is no way i will get to enjoy any further achievements! do you find yourself finding out about cool people after they die? does that disappoint you?
