I always want my study room doors closed

I think it is not a oddity,since I'd like to close the study room doors also. but I do have a oddity that sleep without cloth in night.

I study with the TV on, so that when I get bore at least I can direct my attention to whatever is played on tv.

I too close the doors of my study room to maintain the silence to concentrate on the calls and for thinking right for responding to the business Emails.

Hi ronald, I am very much like you in a sense and need always to close the door behind me if in study or anything else..I like my own space fullstop...guess there are other quirky things about me but really someone else to tell me!! lol...littleowl

I don't think it's strange because closing the doors keeps outside noise from entering the room thus, you will be able to concentrate well while you're studying inside the room. As far as strange habits, hmmm. I can't think of anything right now or maybe because I don't have any...LOL.

I also do close my study room all the time whenever I am there. When I read, write and research I don't want any form of disturbances so I am locking myself up. I can't tolerate too much sound when I am concentrating so I'd rather be alone.

Unless it is an exam, I prefer to have a little noise when I am studying.Usually it is the t.v.I don't concentrate well in silence.

I live alone but for all the time I have lived here...I have always shut my bedroom door at night! I don't know why. First it was because the kids lived here....but after they moved I still need it shut I can't sleep unless it is!

i have too many to name. been living by myself way too long. the only door i ever shut is my bedroom door. don't have a study. merry christmas.

i gues thats normal if you used to it!i am not comfortable if i dont wear a bra it feel like i walk naked.realy true this.even hubby said i dont need to wear a bra coz its no hanging and so sexy but i am not comfortable.

Hi ronaldinu, I like my door open, I don't like being shut in, I don't know why, even my bedroom door is open when I go to bed, my husband shuts it and go and open it, many people relax in their front room in the evening with the door shut, but not me, I have it open. Tamara

I like to always have something in my mouth. Now don't laugh, I know it's strange, but my mouth is very dry so I chew a lot of gum all day. I try to keep it quite so i don't offend people.

I think it is not some kind of disorder because it is good to have the door closed. I want my bathroom always closed as well because I think that's the use of the door. To be closed. People has their own preference and I don't think yours is something wrong.

I don't sit in my room and study or read. I don't shut myself or hidden myself in to a room. Coz, when I am free or when I need to read or study, i just go to a open air, where I get the peace of mind.

I guess we all have oddities of different natures. But I don't feel that a closed door is a oddity at all really. It means you like your space and want to be left alone maybe? I guess my oddity would be that I leave the bathroom door open while in the bathroom and showering. But in my defense I live in a trailer and the bathroom is at the end of the hallway and not one can see in unless they come all the way back and by then I would have door closed. I also go to sleep by the hum of the refrigerator.

Ever since I was a child I was always frightened of the thunder and lightning, I was scared of storms they petrified me, now, even as an adult I still haven't got fully over them, so now if there is a storm I have to put the light on, even though I prefer to sleep in the dark, the light will always go on as soon as I hear a rumble of thunder or a flash of lightening, weird how some childhood fears we never grow out of!

i find nothing strange in it...study rooms are to be quiet and you need peace when u r reading or studying, so u wrongly call it as oddities.......there are many people who have very strange habits like reading newspaper while eating...they say, they cant eat till they have it in hand and eyes pierced in it.....i odnt understand...how they can neglect those wonderfu colors and smells of food and concentrate in that boring...newspaper (atleast at the time of eating)...i dont have any such habit...i am very disciplined kind..and i dont like my children taking too much time while eating, as they watch TV also the same time...i must be telling them atleast 10-15 times...eat quickly or i will turn off that TV..

I like my study room door to be closed also. I think it is a psychological thing that if others in the house see it is closed, I won't be disturbed. If I leave it ajar, then they can just enter.. :-) Derek

My room is always closed because it is air-conditioned. This is one thing that seems to be natural. I could open it but there is no air coming in or out so I keep it closed, at least for now. When I go back from vacation I would not have air-conditioning but my door closes anyway.

That's not odd.. I guess it's just personal habit ^_^ I too would like to close my room doors for more privacy but i cant, because it's gonna be so warm in there.. haha =D Other than that, i will not get distracted with noise from outside my room, and i will be able to concentrate better.. As for other strange habits, i dun think i have any to share.. haha
