Christmas and presents or gifts

This year for Christmas my husband's family is trying something new. We are going to give what we call "white elephants" or used items to each other as gifts. It could be a gift that you got from someone that you have never used or it could be something that has been used but you think someone would get some pleasure out of it. I have always loved giving more than receiving and since my finances are quite low this year, I think this is a great way to do something without all the big expense and not have to go out and fight the malls, traffic and bad weather.

Well, lets see.... I made something for my sister, brother, mom, brother's girlfriend, neice (actually restrung some family pearls with the knots and everything) and several friends.... I won from Dr Pepper a teeshirt I'm giving to her nephew and made her mom something. In fact the only gift I bought was a book and gift card for my uncle...

Wonderful way to do up Christmas, my friend. I used to do some beadmaking myself. I was (and still like) into crystals and sparkly things. I was not that great at it but had fun doing it. I lost the sight in one of my eyes and now it is harder for me to do that detailed work. Congratulations on your win from Dr. Pepper. It is always nice to win things or get things for free. Again, happy holidays!

I like the jewelry, but the only one I gave this year was the necklace I restrung (with the knots between the pearls and all.) I made a few other things, but that was the only xmas gift.
