I love the effects of wind blown snow on things around the yard. This is a shot of my gutter and solar light in my backyard. The solar light, dead center of the photo, looks like it has on a stocking cap made of crisp white snow. The gutters snow is of various depths from the wind blowing it around as well. It will not change much as we did have some moisture in the air causing the snow to hartden somewhat. I think scenes like this are actually very peaceful and or serene. What do you tjhink about snowy scenery? Does it make you feel at ease? Does't it have a calming effect for you at all? HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Snow Bank - The drives edge showing the area of blown snow.
Thanks bunches. Here's a shot of the edge of my driveway showing the depth of the snow somewhat. This is where the snow gets blown to when I clear the driveway. It is about 2 1/2 feet right now and getting taller each day. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB!!~

Just looking at the Christmas cards with their snowy scenes pictured makes me smile and I think it's the nearest I am going to get to see a proper snowy scene, it's been a long time since I have stepped out into a 'Winter Wonderland' yes it is very picturesque as well as very calming and there's something fresh, clean and comforting about a snowy scene when everything is covered by a white blanket. White signifies peace doesn't it and yes it makes me feel at ease and I love smelling the air too, fresh, crisp and healthy.

Oh yes I do love pictures of snow. I think it is beautiful. When it starts turning to slush and getting dirty that is a different story. When I see pictures of snow I think of families in their homes with a big fire going in the fireplace, sipping on hot chocolate and just enjoying each other and life.

Yeah I hate brown snow a lot myself. For a few days everything on the street side is very beautiful. Then the plows toss the sand and salt arouind truning it nasty. But the yards still look so beautiful. The pile on the solar light is really tall for such a small light too. HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
