Hey all! Its winter time in the midwest. You all know what that means-the cold and flu season is once again upon us! A good friend of mine had given me a tip to get over my cold faster. I am not sure what the connection is but it works. Rub Vicks on the bottom of your feet, put socks on (cotton) and it works. I am not sure how, but I have been doing this for the past few days, along with taking cold medicine and sleeping. I feel so much better. Any tips for getting rid of colds that you all want to share? Have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to ALL!!

When we were kids and we got a cold, our Grandmother used to give us a tablespoon of whiskey mixed with honey and lemon. We'd immediately fall to sleep. Maybe that was the point. LOL. Anyway, while you were asleep, you would sweat it out and I never remember missing more than a day or school. I used to get a cold every change of season. Now that I live in Southern California and we rarely have a change of season, I only seem to catch a cold every couple of years or so. I like the Vicks tip. I'm going to use that one the next time I catch one.
