Our Government, you know those guy's that have been running the country into the ground, and placed that new tax bailout on our (we the people) shoulders because they chose to ignore the problems. Well, guess what they done now. They have given themselves a raise. Giving them more money to take from us. This is not the land of free. I get to work, choose my profession and decide how I will live; but not before they get their money first from my hard working paycheck. Wouldn't it be great if salaries were determined by aproval ratings, kind of like they are in the real world. By the way I am going to work tomorrow and telling my boss I voted myself a raise and see what he says.

Thanks for responding, I always thought that it would be nice to give myself a raise, but it doesn't work that way for me. It just bothers me that they will vote themselves a raise in times the people of this country are struggling, and many of them can't even get a raise because they have no job. It makes you wonder what will tomorrow be like. Thanks, again Gangus2

While our companies here running in loss. They are finding it difficult trading and cutting the jobs, I think its not that bad that they raise a bellout package to them. Yes, its true that we are paying the taxex and it is given to them, more bailout means more taxes but still, if our economy is slowing down then nothing is bad to give a breathe or two to it.

Thanks for responding, but I disagree with the bailout. I don't believe it will do any good,(it hasn't). Are economy is faltering and only because there were those that got greedy. Where were the "Watchdogs" when these banks "chose" to get involved in shady mortgage loans? The bailout is only slowing the inevidable and the biggest problem with that is that it will only make it very painful. Slowly and very slowly people all around are loosing everything from jobs to homes to retirements. If we loose it all at once, atleast we can stand up and put it back together, as it is we are slowly being put to our knees, and we can't even help each other as we go down. Thanks again, Gangus2

To true! why should government and congress get to approve their own raises? Any other job would not allow a raise based on poor performance!! now would they?? Oh, yes and we still get the bill in the end!! for some reason it seems that we're trying to rub out lower class citizens!! Hardly un-noticable!!! After all who gives up the most? to ensure that these rich people are able to make stupid decisions every day?? That's what they mean by freedom,..freedom for the wealthy!! And no, you do not really get to choose how you live either, you can choose what you want, but only if it is approved of, otherwise no. Merry Christmas anyhow
