If you ask my friends, I am the prank call king. I also do many prank calls for my radio show. Let's discuss prank calls! Do you think they are a waste of business and peoples time? The business's and people that you decide to prank that is. Do you tend to make prank phone calls? Tell us some of your best prank phone calls. This was a prank on a telemarketer that called my home. She asked for my mom and I said, "Oh, she is on the roof fixing a leak. Let me go outside." I went to the kitchen and got a pan out. I went outside and slammed the pan onto the ground and yelled "OH MY GOD! She fell!!" And then I hung up. I find that hilarious! So please do tell us some of your best prank calls, that is, if you do them. If you don't, tell us why you think prank phone calling people is wrong.

ok, to some people who says prank calling is over because of CALLER IDS, you are way wrong. Didn't you know that you can cover up your phone id with a simple code you put in your cellphone? I learned that when i was about 11 and called people using different voices. They never found it was me because one day i could sound like a guy with sore throat and the next day i could sound like a young happy cheerleader. Ah, good memories XD

Here's one that I think takes the cake, a prank call where the caller is the one who the joke was on. ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5z4Vs26-TI I would have LOVED to have seen the looks on the telemarketer's face as this was happening. Back about 15 years ago, there was a long skit of an AT&T telemarketer that was all mixed up with another American long distance carrier, MCI. I don't have a copy of that, but it might be floating around somewhere on the internet. Also, there have been some funny ones that took place on several eposides of The Simpsons. One that I was involved in was at someone's work place. This was when call waiting first came out, & this call waiting was something that the guy who she was calling hated. Being that she had several phone lines at work, she called him, & started talking to him. Then i would dial his number, & activate his call waiting. Then we'd switch phones, & then I called him again. This went on like this as they spoke on the phone. He didn't know that it was a prank until I mentioned it in front of him, & he did find it very funny.

I don't call other people and do prank calls. I've had enough of those and they can be scary if you don't know who is calling. I've no wish to scare anyone I know. But, I do so love to toy with telemarketers, phone survey people and collection calls. Sometimes I sing to them, sometimes I tell them the dog is the head of the household and I'm handing the phone to him. Sometimes I tell them I'm busy now but I'll call them tonight if they give me their home number. When they respond that they don't like calls at home I say, NOW you know how I feel! Sometimes I just say totally random things to their questions like: My feet are cold, My dog just farted, Its cloudy here today, or do you know where I put my straightjacket? I'll just keep saying these things until they hang up. LOL I'm also one of those people who like to use those prepaid envelopes we all get and don't want. I stuff them with local grocery store coupons, or better yet confetti or glitter. When they open them they have a mess on their desk.

I think prank calling is on as long as we don't let things go too far or get out of hand. As long as we keep things clean. If the prankee starts to get irate we need to ease off and let them off the hook. Don't want anyone to get hurt over it.

Yeah, that's my big deal. I don't want anyone to get offended by the things I say or take what I say absolutely serious.

Haha, I actually did a prank call on Saturday for the first time in ages. I was visiting my cousins' house and due to the terrible weather, we were stuck inside and totally bored. So we decided to call a few of her friends. In one of the phone calls I pretended to be a child calling for his mother (I do a great child voice). I told her she was 4 hours late to pick me up from practice and I got kidnapped. If the person acted clueless I would proceed to call them a bad parent and ask if they were too drunk to remember my name and that the psychiatrist was right all along.

Of all the prank calls I have heard of that has to be one of the worst and most thoughtless I have ever heard. I think it is cruel to play that kind of "jokes" on people. Especially in this day and age when children are being kidnapped, abused and killed in such large numbers. Prank calls just seem to be taking a turn for the worst these days just like a lot of other things in life. Prank calls used to be funny simple things that didn't hurt anyone. I guess this is one of the reasons it is illegal. I wonder if the person you called had caller ID.

oh my you are such a naughty naughty boy! hahaha....but oh boy that is indeed hilarious.. Honestly I do not like prank calls as in like the person who is good at it, with all the acting and voices OH MAN! i am so gonna hate it ever.Im the type of person that believes easily spec. when someone got hurt or something. I only do simple prank calls on the phone, I go to my cousin's place which is only 5 mins walk and ring home, our maid would answer, I would say "Good morning madame, This is -(electric company).. Can I speak to Mrs xxx" then she would say Mrs xxx is not there, I go " Oh ok then, Please tell Mrs.xxx that we will cut your electricity supply in 10 minutes, Thank you!" then me hang up leaving our maid speechless and clueless.. I'll go home and then see our maid looking really worried and panicking doing all the chores in 10 mins while telling my mum someone called and said that electricity will be cut in 10 mins. I just giggle softly. My mum, she just shrugs and tell her its impossible becoz she just paid the electricity!

I have a step son that does prank calls. I can't remember any of them in detail. He usually tries to convince me he's a creditor calling about some exhorbitant bill. Sometimes he'll just call and disguise his voice and I will stupidly try to figure out who I'm talking to without offending them. Then it will dawn on me that it must be him. I guess I find him so endearing, that it doesn't bother me. I'm just glad he is fond enough of me to want to call.

I love to listen to a local station that does a prank call in the mornings to people. Some of those people get really mad which maybe I would too but as long as it is all in fun it's ok I guess. It provides me wih a laugh to start my day! LOL

I live in VT near Burlington and the number one radio show around here is called 95 triple x. They do this phone scam every morning Mon-Fri, listeners call in or e-mail with info about who they want to scam and the radio station does the scam live on the show! It is awesome! They have scammed boyfriends, girlfriends, best friends, moms, dads, businesses, hotels, jewelry stores, the list goes on and on. You should try something like that on you show, it is HUGELY popular around here!

When someone calls, my husband likes to pick up the call, but not say anything. He's just silent. The caller will usually say "hello?" because the phone stopped ringing on their end. Then my husband will say "yes, may I speak with ______?" And they'll carry on the conversation without realizing that they called him. Most people will notice within a few seconds, but some take a little longer. I don't know why I find that so funny, but it is. I try it with my friends, but I always end up laughing before I get them to say hello.

I use to many prank calls to friends to have fun. Its funny and cool until there is no problem with our calls. But it even may get serious some times. So making prank calls to some extent is good but not always..

I find prank phone calls "okay" to a certain point. If you aren't threatening to harm a person or thing, I believe it is alright. The only person I have prank phone called is my mom and sister when I a was a few years younger. :)TMONEY

I used to do simple prank calls when I was young. But nothing that would be upsetting like that would have been that you spoke of. But prank calling is probably pretty much a thing of the past now with the caller ID on most people's phones. No way to do it without being found out and it is against the law. If you use your cell phone then it is definitely a waste of time and money in more ways than one.
