Which do you prefer, Gears 1 or 2...?

Gears 1 was good because i liked fighting ram I just got Gears 2 it very good i beaten campaign and been playing live for 20-30 hours. Horde is the bomb!!! The second one has chainsaw duels and you can plant bombs on people or walls. Flame thrower is introduced in this one. Gears 2 is my favorite and cant wait for gears 3 the final game of the trilogy!

I agree with you 100%. I used to play GOW all the time because the online was so good and you could easily play quick games on a chosen mode. As you said the story mode of GOW2 is better but i think the online is really poor. The long waiting times for match making, the inabilty to choose an exact mode or map, the way the chainsaw has become almost unstoppable and the shotgun grossly underpowered. The only saving grace is the Horde mode. I got GOW2 on relase day played online a couple of times and completed the story mode but now i never play it. This is a shame in my opinion because they have wrecked what could of been one of the best online games, the phase " Why fix it if it aint broken" springs to mind.
