It is found that religion is misused by politicians time and again and teh world is being divided on religious grounds. A whole religion is being discredited because of few terrorists from that religion. it is not only the politicians, the religious leaders too take advantage of their position and try to sway the masses based on religious feelings. Young boys are turned towards terrorism by these fraudulent religious leaders who take the name of religion to make innocent young boys perform such acts of terror which are heinous and woudl not be performed by a man in his right senses. Such politicians and religious leaders should be shunned and exposed.

There was a time in our history wherein religious leaders actually ran our government. It was terrible. There was also a time wherein the Church got powerful but they were never aware of it.
Religion never teaches rebellion against country but the teachings maybe somehow misunderstood. So my answer to that question is yes religion should be separated from politics and religion.

I agree with you completly.Politics and religion should not be mixed. The problem with this is that alot of times people make dicisions based on their morals and beliefs. This is often times directly related to their religion. Thus people in office are making dicisions based on their religion. I don't want to be judged because some people in my religion act this way or that so nor do I judge a religion in whole. You have vigilantes in every culture and religion. They should be judged and exposed accordingly. As an individual.

Yes, I do agree that the two are two different things and it should not be mixed. There are those who usually used religion for their political purposes and I would say that it is not good. Some religious people also interfere with politics, they keep on making comments yet they do not offer something that could help. It is better that each should work in their own way.

I strongly beleive in whatever you have discussed. But people over teh time know all these things and are not much moved by the same. They know what is correct and what is wrong and react accordingly. These fallcies are not having any significant impact on the minds of the people. I think over the time the politicians will realize the same and take new topics for their campaigns.

Yes. Religion and politics should always be separate issues, it should not be mixed together. In fact political parties based on religions are not doing much good except for creating hatred and disturbances.
Politics should be for all beyond any religion or races.

Hell no. i dont believe abit of separating religion from state.
there are laws in the quran or the bible which says certain things must be done certain times. if you dont do that either as a elected leader or individual then how are you gonna be a complete Muslin or christian?

How about the fact that in the PHils. there is no divorce because the Catholic church discourage it and because politicians are just too friggin' scared of becoming unpopular, this bein a prevalently catholic country?!?
Too much bigotry and dogmatism all around the globe I reckon.

Yes, religion and politics should be separate! History shows us that when religion gets deeply involved with governments, that mankind will do the most atrocious acts to their fellow man in the name of their god. If their neighbors do not believe in the same god or have slightly different beliefs about the same god, suddenly those neighbors can become "the enemy" and, again in the name of their god, the 'enemy' needs to be eliminated.
Religion and politics together typically bring out the worst in mankind. The Crusades, The Inquisition, The Holocaust, just to name a few.

Yes politics and religion should not be mixed, they should be seperated from each other. Religion is meant for upliftment of Mankind from his baser animal instincts to discovery of his true Self which is a part of God. Even though religions are diverse according to the era, theplace and the country where they were founded they all have the same goal and that is emancipation of Man. Politics is meant strictly for governance of a country and to see that the people of that country are economically strong ,that they have sufficient food to eat and that they have adequate shelter in the form of housing and also the right type of education. When politics and religion are mixed then it becomes a dangerous concoction which is explosive in nature. Politicians nowadays use religion to further their votebanks and religious leaders brainwash the impressionable young people and with false promises make them martyrs by committing murders in the name of religion. This is due to the high illiteracy which is prevalent in certain countries and the young unemployed people are taken advantage of by these unscrupulous leaders.Rightly as you have said such leaders should be exposed and not only shunned but put brhind bars because they are actually criminals and a bane to society.
