Wait, Santa isn't real? oh no! Just kidding XD, parents "lie" about the holiday characters because they want their kids growing up happily and sometimes the truth can be worse than a lie. Think about what i just said. Sometimes the truth can be worse than a lie. If the parents tell the truth about the holiday charcters from the beginning when the kids were little, the kids will not be in the holiday mood. They all want to leave out cookies and milk for santa, or put a tooth under their bed to get money. Also, if the kids do find out, they don't usually tell their parents. The kids DONT want to admit that the characters are fake.

well its tradition to tell kids about santa and the tooth fairy..it makes them more imaginative and inspired..well about the tooth fairy i have a funny quote from the cartoon Futurama, it goes: Professor Farnsworth:Hmm..the fountain of aging..it is just a legend.. still, they call the tooth fairy a legend and now he's head of the FBI.. haha..^^

mainly to shut kids up and it's the only thing they can use to control their children. i know about santa, but not too sure about tooth fairy. i don't see how tooth fairy can control children. especially during christmas season, parents often tell their kids, if you're not good today, santa will not give you a present. but it won't be long before kids really realize the sad truth.

mainly to make children more imaginative and to keep them in good behavior. or to keep their family trend alive . who cares, children get gifts and money .
