Once in my life i told myself that it could have been better if i'm the only child but as i grow along with my brother and sister, i realized that it's better to have someone to accompany. So if i have a choice, i still would choose to have a brother and a sister but i want to be the eldest this time. I don't want them to watch over me because i want to be the one watching over them and taking care of them.

I would think there are times when I wish I were an only child. However, at this point, I'm so use to my brother that I can deal with him. lol

Well, firstly, it's a good thing to meet you here. I'm also from China. It seems there are not many Chinese mylotters here. I'm not the only child of my family. I got brothers and sisters, and I love them dearly. People around me often say they envy me for having brothers and sisters, and I'm also proud of it. I can feel their love for me too. Whenever I meet something depressing, they console me whole-heartedly, and this really touches me. If I'm able to make a choice, I still don't want to be the single child. Rather, I want to be surrounded by brothers and sisters. I hope they will always be together with me.

hi,flouya! to be honest, i did wish i was the only child of my family when i was a little kid..i also come from China and almost all of my friends and classmates are an only child. i'm not because i have a twin brother...we used to fight and have quarrels with each other when we were young..so i did hope i was the only child and took up all things that my brother had..lol..seems selfish..haha but as the time went, i began to feel more loved from my brother and cherish our borned brotherhood..if i was a boy again, i would still like to have a brother...

well, usually little kids are naive and capricious but when growing up to become an adult, we have learned to be more tolerant and understanding. i think this is the main reason that i become thankful for having a brother now..

I have brothers. One older and one younger, that I am very close too. I would not change it for the world. At times, being the only girl was hard enough, I wouldn't want to be a only child.

No, honestly, I do not complain about them. My older brother is 2 years older, and my younger brother is 12 years younger than me. I am very close to my older broher, as kids, we were always there for each other, and even as teenagers, we got along great. With my younger brother being so much younger, I always had fun with him and got to teach him a lot of things. We are all very protective of each other, and a very close family. As I said befoe, I wouldn't change having them for the world. If I have any complaint at all, it is that I am the shortest out of all of us!!LOL

Hi!Some of my friends they all have brothers or sisters. I'm kind of jealous for that because sometimes I want to talk to someone, but there's nobody just me. So I have to watch TV series, movie and searching about my favourite star on internet. I have one cousin, one female cousin and one elder brother. But we aren't that close to talk everything, that's all because we can't see each other too often and when I was still a little kid, I don't really know how to communicate with them. So I guess I have to work hard to talk with them next time when I see them. I'm sick of being those kind of people whom act without mind.

(*^__^*) ,actually,in my mind, having a lot of siblings for a person is not a very nice thing,Because, you will meet a lot of trouble.Such as, you may don't have enough money to buy food, you have to share all the things with your brothers and sisters. Maybe in the most time,if you are the youngest, even you couldn't get the new things,my Godness!(~ o ~)~zZ How do you think of it?

Well I suppose it is a case of we want what we cannot have.sometimes I wished I was the only one as a kid,but no I would not have missed growing up with my sisters for the world they drive me crazy at times but on the whole are great company. My son is classed as an only child, because our other two were grown when he came a long our little surprise and he gets more than the other two did,we are further down the line and nearly paid for our house and my husband has a good paid job.We try not to spoil him but you cannot help it sometimes,I like to think he is sensible and not selfish, but he does get more than his mates and that is just the way things are.I think he would have liked to have a little brother or sister but it was not to be.It sounds like you are a very lucky girl indeed and make the most of it.

I have 12 siblings and that is big. I am the fifth. So, I experience both being the young and the old. After sometime thinking about your question, I guess I don't want to. This is because I'm happy with my siblings especially when there is a newborn baby (or a toddler). It's nice to see them growing. Apart from that, I also love the parts where we support and care to each other. It just happy to have a sisters and brothers. Have a nice day! :)

haha, if a choice like that bumps into me, i am sure a sibling is what i need. in fact, i am a lucky guy that i have a old brother whom i loved so much and also loves me deeply. we used to play together and communicate with each other and share lots of things such as room, even bed from kindergarten to high school, which made me never experience loneliness those days. however, with the time past, both of us grow up and go to college respectively one after another. although he has graduated from university several years and get married last year, we merely meet each other in my vacations from school. sometimes i also feel lonely because i have been in college far away from my family for nearly a year. now really miss my family these days and cannot stop looking forward to going back home in spring festival. nice to meet you here, flouya. merry chrismas and happy mylotting.

I enjoy being the only child of my family because they always give the things I want but it is more fun if you have a brother or a sister to talk and play with. Sometimes, I feel there's something missing in my life and i think its having someone to lean on and to accompany you.

Well i am not the only child of my family. In fact i have two elder brothers. I dont know why people think that there should only be one child. Maybe because of population control. In fact if you look at noble prize winners, most of them are not the first child of their parents. ALso i guess i have got two good brothers who took very good care of me. I therefore feel happy in the situation that i am not only child of my parents.

I always do not want to be the only kid in my family, I think it'll be more fun to have siblings. I have an elder brother and a younger sister, and I'm really happy growing up with them, I actually like to have fun with others. My sister is actually 5 years younger than me, and she told me she felt like being the only child at home, as my brother and I stayed in school hostel when she was young. She has no one to play with, but only playing with herself. It's kinda sad to hear that.

flouya, it is delicate and dangerous to be the only child of your family, what is something happens? God forbids. I am presently a parent of one and may want to up to four or five issues, which will make me and my wife to have people around us even at old age. The cost of loneliness is high, you need to have as many friends as possible. cheers!

No I would never want to be the only child of the family. I think it is really boring to be the single child. You do not have any one to share your feeling or spend time with. When you have siblings the things are almost different. You tend to learn to share and enjoy much more than being the single child. I have two siblings and I enjoy a lot with them. I must say you are missing a lot!!
