How many pairs of socks do you have?

I have twelve pairs of socks, but still when I start getting ready, I am unable to find the right pair which I need. Often I can find that I have put on the socks in one leg and can’t find the other matching one. I search all over but it remains elusive. Ultimately I have to put on a mismatched pair at times and make sure that no one sees my socks. It is still ok if the colour is the same, but if they are of two different colours then it can become very embarrassing.
Have you ever faced such a problem?

I have shared your game...the hide & seek of the socks are really irritating at times.I have 10 pairs of them ,all are of different designs..so when I miss the partner of any one I go through a tough time until I find it out. Many a times even it catches me & makes me late for my office. I have arranged many a times for some arrangements to keep them separated...but u know the tiredness at the end of the day.

LOL I feel your pain! I HATE matching socks! The only suggestion I have for you is to buy all the same kind of socks... and if you need to have different colors of socks, be sure all your black pairs are identical, same with all your tan and white... the fewer unique pairs you own, the easier the task of pairing them will be! ;)

someone has been eating up my socks.
i use to have a mountain of them, but recently i've realized there has been some missing pieces.
i suspect my mum has been throwing some of the loose ones away.
i haven't had the experience of wearing mismatched socks, but if i ever do, i think i'd just laugh it off and say it's the new fashion. haah
