Feel sad today

I feel sad today as we had a horrific accident on the Island. A market truck carrying women and their produce to market, had to reverse on a narrow mountain road and went over a precipice. 14 people dead, including some children and numerous more injured. There are now 50 children on the Island who have lost a parent who was obviously the breadwinner in the family. The government is paying for the funerals and will give a little assistance otherwise, but I feel it so much, especialy for the children who have lost their lives. Have you noticed that we seem to get more airplane crashes or other tragedies during the Christmas season or is this just my imagination?

no that is just because you notice it more at this time of the year because everybody wants to be happy at christmas, it is so sad for those people on the island especially this time of year. In cold countries because we have to heat our home the stats show that there are more house fires during this time of year though, winter is harsh on everyone.

I didn't know that about house fires. As a child we had coal fires and the house was always cold. We were forever huddling around the fire feeling cold. I pray that no one's house catches fire this year. It is so hard for people and this is why we must be kind to each other. Thank you for responding winterose. Christmas blessings

there has been 3 buildings destroyed by fires alone in montreal this week, and over 200 families are now looking for a new home in the cold and the snow.

So sorry to hear that. My heart goes out to you and the people on your Island especially the children who has lost a parent, you will be in my thoughts. I have not actually recognised that there are more tragedies over the holidays, but it could be because more people are on the move and in a rush thus being a little less carefull.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I believe that they will be in a much better place then they are here. Yes, not just Christmas mainly on a religious holidays. It make sense right, a religious holidays should happened on one of the best days in human calendar. Since that days is the best days, I believe it also the best days to travel to another world that why it is make sense to me if accidents occurs more during religious holidays. BR.b

So Sad! When we think continuously, we always go into bad loop. We do not end our thinking and such feelingds come out, quite obviously. But, with pass of time they get fint and living again resume to be more interesting.

Hi Cynthiann, Oh this is so sad, any loss of life is but I suppose it is highlighted more at this time of year, I don't think any more happen than usual but it is that we become more aware of them. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the ost and their friens and their families. Huggles. Ellie :D
